Well, unless someone starts transmitting 3D TV programming.

Only merit I can think of for this 3DTV is when Sony launch their new PS3 firmware to support such TVs and accompanying Blu-Ray titles. Apart from that, A$$tro isn't even really interested in bringing in new channels for HD, why would they even bother with 3D?

Still feels kinda weird to having to wear polarize glasses at home all the time.

Yup, best to sit it out.

Since we're not watching in the movie theater, don't we need really BIG TVs to fully immerse ourselves in 3D? hmm.gif

Don't forget that the glasses is battery operated and bluetooth connected to the TV.. and each costs usd150... but some 3DTV provide 2 glasses for free. ( I don't think it's really free, I think the price is included when buying the tv..)

true but I would think majority of their customers are middle aged folks who watch either serials, variety show, bollywood movies and news tongue.gif

later if your family is like 5 people, you got to add on 5 glasses, then your friends and neighbors also want to come and keh po with your new TV, so some ppl will see blur images and only those with glasses can see the 3D,

what a selling fish act.. haha.. and hopefully in the near future, the computer softwares will pick up, using windows movie maker can make your video into 3D and enjoy on your TV, imagine that..

it looks like the TV technology resolution is coming to a stop and then moving into 3D TV.. i wonder... star trek?

U sure they're picking up momentum? The CS told me that there will be no further new HD channels (or any channels for that matter) this year when I called in and complain a few days ago...

Just curious...
how many HD channels does Astro have at the moment?
how many would be added within 6 months and 12 months?

5-6 years to pick up momentum is kinda slow leh...
