The Update will have some performance improvements and may carry some new applications to the N97mini, but what about the Original N97 ? well nothing announced about the Original N97 firmware Update, but if the N97mini will get an Update the N97 Original may also get a minor Update too (May be V25 or V23)

i paid 2.2k for this phone last time..now waiting for it to die. 1 of the biggest mistake in my life to spend that much on a phone. my next phone? below 1k will do >.<

Yesterday I check theres an update for facebook. Its says facebook 1.0 This is new or am I just slow? Didnt notice any difference tho after update

Erm wanna ask regarding this phone. If i buy ori set from nokia centre, need to ask the nokia salesman to install anything inside the phone and adjust the settings or not? I plan to buy one for my friend's birthday, just want him to insert the sim card to use, dont want susahkan him go nokia centre ask for help again. Antivirus needed? Firmware?

I'm not sure Nokia salesman have the knowledge to install or adjust the settings..but you can try..basically it's up to the user what to install and what setting to use...you can always refer to the front page for the normal settings...and you don't need to install antivirus for symbian device as it is not necessary.

And the Latest software release for Nokia N97 is 22.0.110. You can ask Nokia centre to update it for you or else update yourself via Nokia Ovi Suite.

btw, why not consider latest symbian^3 device like Nokia E7? (if you're looking for physical keyboard)..It's more faster and smooth. N97 is kinda outdated already. I'm afraid your friend will have trouble managing the low RAM available and throw it away

Nowadays I am unable to charge my phone. Everytime I plug in the charger my phone will stop charging for a while before continue charging again. My battery also seem to die faster.

Is my battery need to be replaced or my phone is screwed?

Have you tried another battery or trying the battery on another phone? Might be battery problem but original battery cost quite a lot.
