The purpose to update firmware i think is for add-on functions, audio & video formats supported and so on.

Amazingly efficient seller.Bank in thursday at 2 pm , got my HDRRo on friday morning at 10am...faster than local electrical shop.Some more have discussion forum here for HDPRO.

I helped my siblings to buy 5 unit. Paid on Monday, Tuesday arrived in Penang via GDEx somemore.. expensive courier used.

I surely recomended this player until we see the one that could bitstream HD Audio. My 6 months old runs pretty well.. ha ha ha ha

Media player like this will evolve, so spending those branded one doesnt make sense. So this one.. should last until my next purchase. Still nothing bits Bluray with HD Audio...

But to enjoy normal HD video, this is more than enough. I notice many people own really good TV but simple HTIB. This player will complete the collection. until you move to better sound quality....

dunno when yangxi will bring in sth equivalent to Dune Base.

tv getting bigger...demanding high quality video.
video going hd to cater for better tv....resulting in bigger filze size.
audio going hd too with more channels....resulting in bigger filze size too.
tmnut's internet speed..........still remain the same turtle slow speed with poor quality and expensive price.

sigma chipset .. still price high. and too may model number. 864x ,865x ?..

(I limited $$ . just focus 2-3 model enough)

if sigma price same with realtek, will decide import

Does anyone have the clue on when is HDPro+ is expected to support HD audio bitstreaming?

hello yangxi, first thing thank q for help us to improve our hdpro player, i have read this forum from the first page, and i very intrest to try to update the frame ware of this hdpro, unfurtunetly i cant, coz i am realy not understand how to do that thing, can u teach me step by step how to do the upgrade this frameware. i have try once, i follow step by step that u teach, but fail.what i do is

1.first i download the frameware from the file ext that u give. after finish that file become winzip file in my computer, is that true. what look like the file actualy

2. after that i transfer that file into my pendrive, in i make folder in my pendrive, is that same pendrive with usb flash , if not can u explain about usb flash drive.

3. and than i put my usb pendrive to the usb port in my hdpro, so i open system, system upgrade, when i try enter there nothing happend, so can u tell me step by step how to upgrade firmware, so sorry coz i am very new in this thing, thank again for u kindest

u need to extract the zip file and transfer to your pendrive

And extract it to the root of the pen drive. I had the same problem. Now running on latest firmware.

Root menu mean no need to create folder.

After transferred the file to pendrive, just flash it from the current firmware right?

Anyone knows how to change the startup logo? Now its a blue coloured pixelated "HDD Player" right?

I don't think changing the startup logo is possible coz it is compiled with the firmware.

logo can't change.. unless use serial tool to update bootloader

Maybe is time to change the logo yangxi. Honestly it looks cheap. So, make something clean with black background should be good enuf. also honestly, using yangxi may make it sound sooooo "made & design in china". is true... but use marketing strategy to change the image.... maybe something like...this....

true.. time to change ^.^
