very funny ler. tested my fren's HDpro last week. no shock.

today started testing with my brand new set, no shock.
after an hour or so, i held it to pull out my thumbdrive and felt a slight tingle. hmm maybe i should touch some metal and remove static from my hands first.

Received yesterday and tested during the night. I'm eager to test the wifi Net streaming ability but at first I'm having difficulties with the WEP authentication. Everytime I put the WEP security password my HDPro was unable to connect to the network. Then finally I removed the WEP security of my wifi and it work. I dunno why it cannot authenticate my wifi WEP.!!!

Ok my wifi is upstairs and my HDpro is downstairs. The signal strength I've got only at 50-60% but the streaming was flawless. I stream a mkv file with the size of 160MB for 54minutes video and here is the result.

But then when I try to use the subtitle, the stream video lag very bad. I dunno why maybe the network speed becomes bad. Yet to test again since one of the main reason I buy HDpro is the ability to stream video from my computer to my TV.

Later then I install my WD 200GB sata drive. Formatted using the internal format system. No problem at all. Copying from the wifi network is a bad idea. Better off with usb transfer. I've tried to transfer 1.3GB of files to the internal HD and it takes like forever.

Will test more features later.

i just directly translate the mbps to MB/s, not considered the overhead and max bandwidth.

Did you plug your USB Wifi Dongle direct to the HDPro port?
Don't. Use the USB extension cable provided.
This will help to improve the network speed.
Let us know whether this help.

Just received HDPro from Bro Yangxi, thanks for the efficient services.
I really enjoy the quality of video and sound connected to my home theatre system.

However, I hv two major problems here, when I plug in USB DVD Drive, HDPro cannot detect the DVD Drive and I get response of "No Loader". I try with another USB DVD Drive also same problems. I downloaded lot of movies and backup in DVD discs. Help me...

I checked my HDPro firmware is RY 31 Mac 2010.

As for Xunlei, I can access the Xunlei menu but when I select certain movie to watch / download, nothing happen and HDPro response with "No CIB information". How to overcome this problems also.

Update 6:24pm 2/5/2010
I hv found solution for DVD problems, actually my problems is everytime after I inserted disc into USB DVD drive. after playback I cannot eject the disc by pressing the eject button on USB DVD drive.
Instead hv to use the eject button on HDPro remote control.
As for the "No Loader" response, I figure it might be because the power cord not plug in firmly into USB DVD Drive. rclxub.gif

Now my problems is how to watch / download from Xunlei?? Anyone hv tested kindly share.
