My HDPro firmware is also dated 2 March but I can turn the HDPro on and off with my remote. My batch is the one just before yours so maybe this problem is only in the latest batch. (or just your unit?) BTW, some of the remote buttons also affect my ceiling fan, so have to point closer to my HDPro.  rclxub.gif  So now I have a spare remote for my fan!

laugh.gif
can the fan's remote control your HDPro, have u try? if can then can use as spare for your HDPro, my frenz is so worried that his remote spoiled by his kids, it is a good news if the fan's remote can play/pause/stop the HDPro hmm.gif

watching on plasma via HDMI, and optical to old Yamaha AV receiver.

still got a bit of electric shock on the casing sometimes, though... gotta check it out in full later.
*

oh icic ok ok... but now still thinking...
that M6 is nice but again HDPro is with better chipset
*
yup, but then again few key factors to consider (for me):
- firmware upgrade / support
- control panel, a must for me or else if remote kong how to control sweat.gif
- gigabit lan, mainly for HD streaming lor
- warranty, 1yr is perfect
- price, the media players are evolving too fast, dun bother on expensive one (of the same class)

haha y? for other ppl??? ok ok... but i already him around Feb or Mar, till now no reply and i saw M6 support Xun Lei also so i inquire about the product...
PM bro Yang Xi already he say mostly end of May should be in already as i desperately need the player end of this month coz my gf will go oversea and i need a play to watch movie...
*
got htpc already, all are helping frenz (no making profit), maybe u can wait for M6 with 1073DD+, 3yr warranty is unbeatable
btw, hd pro is quite bulky/heavy, u can opt for noontek or HORNETTEK Phantom, same chipset too but small & cute laugh.gif

Anyone has tried playing BBC-Planet Earth profile 5.1 1920x1080 16 reframes  mkv files in HDpro range of media players ?

Here is a sample of it :-

if i m not mistaken, only sigma could play such high reframes file, i think wdtv live with sigma 8655 could handle this, anyone pls help to confirm

Added on February 24, 2011, 5:42 pmk, someone had confirmed this @ http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1198806

With all these choices available, so which is the best in term on PQ and AQ? Which has the best value for money?

hdpro+ is a good buy

QUOTE(eMKs @ Feb 24 2011, 05:59 PM)
Yes, i've test it with wdtv live, no problem.
Realtek can't handle such high reframes.
