hi. quick question...

when FF or Rewinding, i see the time/duration bar. once i press play, the bar doesn't disappear till i press Guide, but i hav to re-play the movie.

and after that, sometimes the time/duration bar doesn't appear when i FF or Rewind, which is kind of important.

anyone hav this problem too, or am i overlooking a simple solution? tongue.gif

hmm Yangxi, wonder if can suggest a new feature for remote control, but i doubt can flash firmware for remote tongue.gif :

One of my dvd players remote has a useful button called Quick Review, which basically rewinded and playback 5 secs before.
Just nice if you missed some line or some quick action biggrin.gif very responsive, if u press 3x, it would go back 15 secs, very minimal lag.
One of the most used buttons, for myself at least laugh.gif

But since then, i notice not many players have that. Again, just a suggestion, dunno if do-able smile.gif
yes, i could just press Rewind, wait, then press Play, but that's a lot of extra clicking over a few years xD

You can set the backgroup music while viewing photo in setup miscellaneous. But, the setting that play the playlist doesnt work even with the latest firmware. You can choose play folder setting where when you view photo in a specific folder, it will play music files from the same folder. I prefer it play from playlist, unfortunately it didnt work.

S, do it manually, go to playlist, play and then go to the photo and view the photos while music playing on playlist. smile.gif hate the extra effort, but better than nothing.

Thanks for the guidance!
Yes, it sound a bit complicated, especially on how to create the playlist, how nice if can select music when view photos .....
Anywhere, I'll try it out later tonight.

Ok, this is what I did:

1. Go to Music folders, Select & Confirm those songs to create the playlist
2. Got to Misc setup and set music background to Playlist

After which, each time when I Play the photos, the songs on the playlist will start automatically.

When I use the menu to Format the internal HDD, I saw the Samba automatically installed right after the format complete.
But sorry I do not know how to use the Samba blush.gif

Been using the HDPro for a few days, and I am really happy with it so far.

Quick question, is the unit atble to multitask such as is copying files from Net to HDD and playing movie at the same time?

hi,

I just got my HDPro yesterday. Have been playing with it whole night. A questions: Does anyone manage to get it work with Windows 7 shared folder?

I don't have problem with accessing shared folders on machines running on Windows 2003 or Windows XP from HDPro.

Please share how you manage to work it out if you are able to do it on Windows 7. Thanks in advance.

yangxi,
after doing some research, the problem might be caused by the SMB protocol used in the current firmware. Will we be getting a new firmware that will fix this issue?

Hi,

it is not possible to copy and play movies at the same time.
because the player does not support multitasking

Hi,

If you would like to get it to work with window 7 shared folder, there is a guide in AC Ryan forum.
But the problem i faced was that after enable to share in win 7, all my drives are visible in HDpro browser.

hope that helps....
cheers,

thanks a lot! yangxi also PM me the link. I haven't got a time to tried it out yet. I don't like the idea of having all the drives exposed. shakehead.gif
