Imma confused, why Fabregas and Pique can't play in the second round? Is one yellow card means ban from the second match? Then what about Song, Arshavin?

Xavi was inspirational IMO tonight. His vision and passes made our midfield non existent in the first half.

ooo, just remembered. Iniesta will be back for the 2nd leg. DAYYUUUMmm

xavi should be barca's MOM... there is no other contender, his consistency is unmatched... barca will welcome back iniesta with an open arm... when this duo are together, sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif
i just hope that arsenal will bring some luck for the trip..

does it has anything to do with being the last man or not? if you foul a player who at that time having a clear goalscoring opportunity, you get a red. doesn't matter if you are the last man or not

that's my understanding anyway. am glad to be corrected if i am wrong though

toshio is 100% correct..

nuff said, rewind what happen back to lehman during the 2006 final

Gimme a break Barca didn't pressed us at all and dirty like MU. It is just their positioning, possessions and diving around.
*
i'd say they use the same pressing tactic against us which is press early and in numbers. fair enough if you don't agree with me but where did i say Barcelona pressed us with a dirty tactic?

this works for MU because of their physicality is superior than barca... and they still have the white haired devil..

MU is dirty for sure when pressing, how can you compare a team like Barca to MU? That fair enough to you?

today match has been average for Arsenal. From the start, Barca display a wonderful football. Nice passing unlike Arse, keep on loosing possession. I think Song doesnt play well as a defender, or is there anyone that suppose to mark Ibrahimovic?

So far, the most consistent player for Arse would be Nasri. Song and Diaby still need to learn how to pass the ball properly, cant even pass a straight ball, let alone a through pass. Song was like that all along, at least Diaby has improve.

On the side note, there are too much yellow cards flashing around. The referee didnt have a good game. Not much warning, straight yellow card. And he look like a faggot to me.

If we took the same display to the Nou Camp, we not going to make it. But with the 2 main def gone, thats going to even it out. Let see how far we can go.

again, i'd say they use the same pressing tactic on us i.e. early and in numbers. and due to their superior passing and movement their pressing tactic work very well as when they manage to force our players to a mistake and get back the possession, it looks very hard for us to get it back. they that's my opinion. why it is not fair to compare their tactic when i thought they press us the same way i.e. early and in numbers. maybe i should put in 'high up the pitch' in there also

and just for a disclaimer i do not like Barcelona 1 bit. always been the case, not just because of tonight match. you are giving me the impression that for you, liking both MU and Barcelona tactic is some kind of sin. i could not care less though, hate them both

bro toshio14, I do not really study the FIFA rules tongue.gif

I believe the reason ref gave a red card was due to "challenge from behind" + interrupting a clear chance to score.

Anyway, I agree that the red card was not the worst decision the ref made in the match tongue.gif

A soft red card on my dictionary... but hey, it's to our advantage so let's not make it big tongue.gif

I hate them both too...But you're giving the impression that every so called "great tactics" that can contained us should be coming from MU? Is that so? Correct me if im wrong.
