thanks.... another thing... wen wanna find da max for the ram and cpu, should the timing be set at auto or specifically set...
*
max speed of chip: set divider 133/166 on ram, ya's is of tccd, so 166 should not be a problem.

max speed of ram, use 6/7 for d multi, set htt to as high as possible.

read up oc guide in dfi street then u'll know wat i mean... wink.gif

Bios update might help sometimes. smile.gif

not sure d 1T thingy can be solved for 2*512MB module. had hard time w/ utt too, best bet will be d43/d5 if they can run 1T w 166 divider... smile.gif

y not usin 183 divider instead if ya ram can't do 1:1 @ 250MHz? biggrin.gif

if d voltage used for both is d same, I'll go for higher clockspeed... smile.gif

not sure either, best bios before d latest, 705/711 work best for venice while 824 favors sandy core chips... smile.gif

1T problem > maxout @ ~280MHz ramspeed. any higher 2T is way to go...

utt problem > need high vdimm(3.4/3.5v) to be memtest stable for utt (2*512MB)

temp reading > abit high, on nF4 load = 42'C max, on nF3 load = 47~49'C max

other than these, it had been a great board to me... smile.gif

@gengstapo
higher alwez betta, but if d diff in temp is alot n ur usin it for 24/7, 220*11 is betta option for me. IMO, memory speed n timin are important in sandra n super pi, gamin shouldn't influent much by d two. smile.gif

@kingmaker_20
23x-240MHz only... sweat.gif

try 510-1 for TCCD wink.gif

704-2BTA works very well with my UTT and old school BH5

but of course there's no best bios for everyone.. only a best for u.. so u have to try them out smile.gif
*
do d slots affect oc'bility of rams, read somewhere in d street sayin d yellow slots works betta for utt/bh-5, but when i place d ram in yellow slots, d system can't even make it to windows... 225MHz w/3.0V, no problem for orange slots thou... doh.gif

some say yellow works better some say orange.. u'll have to try them urself..

my yellow is better for BH5..

example is

orange = 250 3.3v .. error
yellow = 250 3.3v .. no problem
*
thx bro... smile.gif

this utt of mine is kinda stubborn really, burn it w/ 3.0V @ 225MHz for hours ledi but still no progress for higher clock, even a MHz increase will give errors... sweat.gif

hopefully 704-2BTA will do 'em gud... biggrin.gif

got question for everyone... running nf3 LP ultra-d...

da problem is that when try to bench using 3D05 and 3D03, it will never complete coz is says that 3d05 and 3d03 windows is out of focus... i tried with and with out divider, 230*9(ddr400) and 275*9(ddr333)... all at loose setting 2.5,4,8,3,11,13,3,3,2,2,3120,1....

wat can be da problem...
*
mind to explain further wat do u mean by "windows is out of focus"? blink.gif

Juz tried d 704-2BTA bios, i can say d stability is way betta than 623-2. Tried yellow slots, can't even work with 1 stick... speaker beepin indicatin ram problem. Am I havin faulty slot(s)? sweat.gif

As per Jim mentioned, I believe it's more to inaccuracy in software rather than mobo's fault. U wun know till u get it dmm-tested. smile.gif

just wonder what happen during priming the cpu if vcore not enought in dfi nf4 lp series mobo? izzit will stop the program or restart or occur blue screen follow by restart?
*
nope bro, not in nf4 lp series. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(irenic @ Jan 30 2006, 03:47 PM)
normally the program will stop. I never had pc restarted when running prime. Program stop / failed = always biggrin.gif

dats for super pi bro, not primin... tongue.gif

one thing i like bout this nf4 series is d bootableness. in nf3, any mem timin not rite (too tight) there's nothing i can do other than clear d cmos, while in nf4, no such need coz it'll still bootable in d scenarious mentioned above, d system will just restart by itself b4 completin d post. save me lotsa time since i dun need to open d case n take out d batt. it would be nice if dfi can come out with a function panel thou, juz like abit (bling... bling... bling)... laugh.gif

irenic@what was the temp while using stock cooler?

diff btw idle n load is about 4'C, so it's obvious dat d cooler helps alot in lowerin d temp... smile.gif

almost 10'C if u do d maths, and I consider it as a BIG diff... biggrin.gif
