QUOTE(almostthere @ Nov 2 2005, 11:10 AM) I know but the thing is something came up and caused my budget for my that new rig to be reconsidered. Not interested in getting the Infinity's as they don't impress me much comparatively so was wondering what other options do I have anyway imo, this board ain't gud for venice 3k + tccd users, to use tccd on this board, atleast a chip w/ 10x multi is a muz, else tccd works like d43 onli... OT: woot... looks like i'll have sumone who gona use d same mobo like me... been waitin for this for months ledi... |

QUOTE(newbieockids @ Nov 14 2005, 12:26 AM) tq very much ahpaul bro for the reply.. 3.2V is way too high for hynix chips, i would say 2.8-2.9V is sufficient enuf. try 2T w/o any divider if ur on low HTT, generally hynix can do 2.5/3-4-4-8 w/ d voltage mentioned above.1) i've tested one stick right now running stable @ 220Mhz but Vdimm applied is 3.2V 2) Yeah im running the latest version same just like dat.. i think prob number 2 is ok i'll try to find the answer later.. but probs number 1.. thanx.. some say dfi board aint like hynix chip, it mite apply here... |

QUOTE(newbieockids @ Nov 14 2005, 01:27 AM) dunno why, d43 & d5 offer more or less ocbility i think, with d latter clocks lower than d 1st abit imo... @pcmoddingmy the ram is stated using hynix dt-d43 but @techpowerup! the ram is stated using hynix d5 i tot this ram using dt-d43 also at first.. im really happy if it is dt-d43 chips.. after saw the techpowerup review i take out the heat spreader n cried(hynix d5 inside).. i tried google out some info about this Hynix D5 chips.. but i didnt find anything special.. so far what can i do is set the cpu:ram ratio to 1:0.8 so at least i can see how much this venice can fly.. tired already tweaking the ram setting.. |

QUOTE(chinsc @ Dec 10 2005, 08:51 AM) oh i c~ so no matter how, FSB still running same with HTT? HTT = FSB in A64, frequency of ram depends on how u set d divider as wat Jim mentioned. im using DFI sli-d. im trying to o/c it to 300fsb but my system is not stable. stop prme after 10s. is it because the HTT is too high? or my venice need more vdimm? im try on 1.63V only. didnt try out more) thx wat kinda ram u are usin? could be ram problem oso. stepping of ya venice? I can safely say not all venice can do 2.7GHz. |

QUOTE(diablo69 @ Jan 2 2006, 11:23 PM) proc n ram setting... finally they release a new bios... DFI LanpartyUT nF3 Ultra-D (BIOS 12/19/2005) AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice 2x Kingston Hyper X 3200ULK2 512MB HIS Radeon X800Pro 256mb AGP@x800xt Seagate Barracuda 80gb - SATA 1 Seagate Barracuda 80gb - SATA 2 NEC Black DVD+/-RW ND-3540A - IDE 1/0 Acbel 450W Pure Power w/ PFC one of the problem is the ram... only can get it to run dual channel when both stick is placed in the same channel(currently in dimm 3 and 4).... does this mean that there is problem with the mobo... wat does is i manage to pass OCCT test but got error for SuperPI 32M itteration... should i lower the fsb or anything else... and if there any problem noticed in the pic do tell... thanx... tccd works best in orange slots for this board, find d max for either CPU or ram AT ONE TIME, else u'll just end up wastin alot of time to figure out d factor lead to instability... Edited: use d ports near to d cpu, they are locked. This post has been edited by ah_khoo: Jan 3 2006, 12:04 AM |
