Hey guys, just dropping in to say that I'm a proud Legend owner. Been using it for two weeks and lets just that the phone and the OS is simply amazing. No problems whatsoever until now. The phone is really solid. Too bad on the 3D gaming though, kinda laggy on certain high-res 3D games like ToonWarz. And yeah, couldn't keep my hand off the Custom Roms. Lol. Cheers guys.

I have tried v2.1 but I don't like it. The Market just force close every time I'm downloading an app. Plus the Sense is missing and that is one of the reason I get the Legend in the first place. I have reverted to stock rooted for the time being until next update.
It's fast anyways and the live wallpaper is cool!
*
Its on v2.2 now. I flashed it just now and lets just say I'm pretty satisfied with the result. ROM is uber-fast, LWP is very cool indeed and Market is working. You should try it!

QUOTE(riziger @ May 19 2010, 02:10 AM)
I was almost sure I was gonna get this phone in about a weeks time, the sexy looks plus super reviews make it a sure-fire choice for me. Plus the pricing is also alright.

Then, I saw the HTC Desire, which appears to be the Legend, but on steroids. True, the design is nowhere near as appealing but it outperforms the Legend in almost every way?

Hmm... dunno which to get now. Why would I choose the Legend over the Desire?

Maybe you guys, Legend owners can help me out?
*
Honestly if you have the money, go for Desire. Definitely beats the Legend on every single way, except for the design. I was going to buy the Desire but somehow I picked Legend over Desire. Well maybe because I didn't have an extra RM600. Lol. Either way, both phones are great and you won't be disappointed.

My v2.2 is working just fine. No error whatsoever. Live wallpaper + SenseUI working. Nope, all apps are now installed into SD.

Some good news for Legend owner

This announcement essentially states that the likes of the HTC Legend and the upcoming HTC Wildfire will also get Android 2.2.

Source

But when it will be available, that would be another story  tongue.gif

Woohoo Froyo is coming! Actually I was expecting this. There are rumors going around that some of the new devices from HTC is not getting Froyo, which is absolutely BS in my opinion.

are u sure? i tried to browse a bit in the Market and dont see any paid apps listed.

Currently Malaysian Market does not support paid apps. If you really want paid app then look for 'Market Enabler' in Market.

Hmm ok maybe its cos I'm roaming right now. Cos mine is an ori SIS msia unit and its showing paid apps
*
I think its because you are roaming that you can access paid apps. Everybody here in Malaysia with original SIS sets also cannot access the paid apps in Market. There is no difference between ori an ap you know.

Well actually the Froyo open-source codes came out today on HTC's site. Some guy from xda-developers is already working on a beta for Legend.

As always, nice to see Legend getting some customise ROM love.  smile.gif

Yea, me too. More and more custom roms are surfacing. Didn't have the time to test out the purist's custom rom which basically contains only Android. Hear that they are blazing fast.

So may i know does legend support ADW Launcher from the free market? It looks nice and i would like to know more info about it. And does it require my phone to be rooted before i can use it?
Yes it does. And you do not need to root your phone to use it. I'm using it at the moment. Its a cool home replacement. You can customize how it looks and lots more.

Hi guys,

I saw this when I was browsing the web. Cynogenmod 6

Has anyone tried this on their HTC legend?

Appreciate of there are some feedback or experience sharing on this.

Thanks.
*
I'm using it since v0.1. Very good Froyo port from CyanogenMod. Faster than 2.1, really stable. No problems what so ever right until up. Except for a few hiccups along the way but the ROM is pretty much in its final stages that you can use it for everyday use. Hope that helps, cheers.

Edit :

In a few days the Legend will be officially supported by CyanogenMod (including nightly builds and all that).

Confirmed by CyanogenMod on his Twitter.

Omg can't wait! Officially supported by CyanogenMod and 6.1 is coming!

Somehow I feel like this thread is dead, maybe I'm the last Legend user in lowyat.net. Well, who cares.
