Hey guys!

Its good to see all of you are still alive and kicking. Glad that some of you are still sticking with Legend. However I sense that the Legend will die in the near future if Froyo doesn't come out. Its already an unpopular phone (this is a fact), and without Froyo on it, its just gonna fade away. To whom that will stay on the Legend ship, I'm here with you guys!

For those who can't really wait for official Froyo, just root your phone and flash it. The process is pretty straight forward but please make sure that you read the instructions carefully. After rooting, install Azure CyanogenMod and let the games begin! I promise you you will enjoy using Azure. And if you're worried about warranty being void if rooting, I don't think it applied. I rooted my Legend right after I got it and used a custom ROM. But there were some problems with the screen and I send it back for warranty repair and they did it!

So, why don't we keep this thread alive eh guys?

Edit : Owh yea, I also got the cannot hear call. But it happens randomly. Its hardware related right?

Right. That was the only drawback of Legend. And I think Legend users bought Legend base on the looks only. Its RM1900 on SIS warranty right? Actually I don't agree with you. If Froyo is on Legend, it will definitely boost the performance thus boosting the sales. Look at Wildfire, the spec is almost the same and they're getting Froyo.

More or less. Legend is not officially supported by CyanogenMod. Azure is a ported version of CyanogenMod for the Legend so its not 100% the same. They are plus minus here and there. But wait for a couple of days, the author of Azure is working with Cyanogen to make the Legend officially supported. I hope that means Dalvik JIT is enabled. 900 point on Quadrant if that comes true!

No problem, just helping out a Legend mate! I suspect that as well. But a guy from xda-dev e-mailed HTC Poland and they responded that the Legend will be getting the Froyo really soon. But they did not inform an exact date. If they do us like they did the Hero then its gonna be a looooooooooooong way. Lol.

So its the plastic thing the problem? Damn, maybe we're not holding it right like Steve Jobs said for the Iphone 4.

Just wait for a couple more weeks. If by then Froyo is not released, just go for it. Lol. Its not that hard really. You just need to have a balls of steel, and the ability to follow instructions.

You guys should check the update on Unrevoked root. If he can successfully root it with Unrevoked root then its a whole new game for Legend! Custom themes!

If you want to customize it, just add some widgets. It depends, if you have too many widgets running in the background, it can in a way reduce the performance of your phone.

I've rooted my phone the first day I got it.

Yes you do need to configure the settings. If not the mobile network cannot connect to the service provider.

Yes there is always a risk in rooting. The worst case scenario is you brick your phone. When that happens, you need to send your phone to be unbrick and that will cost money. After rooting it runs like normal, like it should. Rooting is done to put Superuser that allows you to access system data. The process is quite troublesome to be honest, but the reward is definitely worth it. Check here for rooting :

Yes it is stable enough. So far every error has been ironed out. So everything works like it should. Hour is the contacts manager?

Owh ok. The thing about Azure is the terrible contact manager. You will definitely miss Sense's. But there is always 3rd party apps to do anything. Dialer One is a good example.

Yeah, but it rarely happens. But when it does, both side cannot hear anything.

It has nothing to do with Maxis or anything. It is the aluminium casing. You can try updating your radio. It helps.

Maybe it's the testing rom for CM6.1. Btw 0927 is released, you should check it out. Ali said that somehow he reached a new benchmark.

Download the latest radio update, and flash it via recovery. That is if you're rooted. If you're not rooted, just update via OTA. Here's a link for rooted phones :

I'm having that too man. If I press the button lightly the screen won't wake up. I need to press it firmly only then the screen wake up. It wasn't like this before. But meh, not sending it for warranty just for that.

I did too man, on top left and bottom corner. I was like "WTF!!!".
