Erm.... For instance my friends bought forte 2.0 at 95k at 2009 now want trade in nw for new car but still manage 70k ++ how to explain?
deprecitaion only 25k the most.
honda city 2004 only manage to trade in abt 30k ++
*
forte 2.0 4 speed sold at RM93k (include insurance) not 95k
1st batch registered in early 2010, not 2009, only 1.6 registered in end 2009
if honda city has 2.0 version than i talked, if 1.5 only i better keep quiet...
u should talked about same category which is civic 2.0... now tell me how much civic 2.0 price?

QUOTE(rickyoac @ Aug 16 2011, 10:55 AM)

Combionation of both really a winrar.. biggrin.gif B4 Ulthinon, I had upgraded to another cheapo LED but the combi really chekai & thus went back and asked for replacement to ultinon thumbup.gif ..Now happy wth the bright upgrade liao sumore it's 100% legal..The ori highbeam now almost useless and though the same brightness as headlight rclxms.gif ..Probably I need to upgrade the highbeam bult to xtreme vision too hmm.gif

Have to ask mah...otherwise very scary wor wth the previouys car resale value. i even re-check wth the 2nd car dealer that came to inspect my old car. He also assure me this latest gen Sonata will not be so bad but also saying that the value might not be as good as last gen Sonata

Reason- The old sonata having parts relibility, heavy FC & low demand. this gen Sonata diff liao..Wth conitune mthly sales >1000 units they can't even cope wth the demand and the survey in US named it as the 3rd or 4th most reliable car in the recent survey just a rank below Toyota & much higher than Honda.. So the figure in US speak for itself. Hyundai also suffered sales probolems in US years back but came back strong since the launching of this Sonata, the Tucson & Elantra

So hopefully this for sure will create a strong demand & thereafter maintaining the 2nd value as good as H&T smile.gif (This is true haha)

1st & 2nd year depreciation is likedat.. No choice wan. i still remembered when my old Civic FD1 which i got it for RM113K in 2006, I saw ppl selling it in 2007 for RM95K...darn my heart also melted..lucky by 2008, price still ~ RM90K, 3rd yr also the same still RM85K, 4th yr also ~ RM85K & 5th yr - RM78-RM<83K...That's Honda lah..So I dun expect Soanat YF to drop till RM20K on the 5th year but I anticipate price of ~ RM60K by 5th yr (For YF model)..i.e slightly worst than Camry & Accord hmm.gif

Not really. Price depreciation is the highest in the first 3-4 years. After the 5th year it will stabilise. A 2003 model Toyota Vios sells for about RM 42-43K now. Just a drop of about 44% only in resale value over 8 years. It still retains about 55% of its original value despite being 8 years old. Thats what i call good resale value. Resale values are demand driven.

Most of these 5 year warranties are limited warranties. Only the first 3 yrs are full warranty. Tats the case with Hyundai & Kia. Not sure about other makes.

True enough on warranty, 3+2 is definitely better than only 3. Also not all makers provide lousy limited warranty on the additional 2 years, like VW for instance the limited warranty coverage is pretty comprehensive (read their T&C).

However there are makers like Proton offering only 2+3, so cases like this is debatable with those offering 3.

Silver is the fastest. I got it within a week after placing my order. However for other colours such as white. Be prepared to wait for 3-5mths
