The problem is, if you're able to connect to EA Online in the 1st place why do you need to open up the ports? Btw, which router are you currently using to run BFBC2?

Coz sumtimes I get disconnected by EA and when wanna rejoin d server it gives me "Cannot connect to EA" -.-

I'm too lazy to open ports, its alot of work unless it's worth my time which drastically lowers the ping. xD

I remembered last time borderlands require us to do that, but a patch comes up and doesnt require port forwarding anymore.

did you enter the code without the dash "-" ?? EG: code is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx then u need to type as xxxxxxxxxxxx case sensitive to make sure use capital for respective 1, just in case.

Also, after enter, there should be a message saying "Code redeemed sucessfully" something like that. But u will not be able to see it at your stats, you need to join in a game and it will show up there. The stats before you join a server basically sux, i always get undefined stats and empty stats. But all my unlocks are in place when join server.

What gfx setting are u using? Did u try turning off AA?

some mention bloom will cause the black or white screen. turn off HSAO also. Then everything set to low, and try windowed mode.

Nope, didnt try turn off everything. All i try is restart client and everything works. Only Happens to Multi player.

i also had bad experience with ATI, so i opt for nvidia, since most games are meant to play with nvidia. "The Way It's Meant To Be Played"

doesnt matter it is MP or SP, normally to troubleshoot the graphic problems are to off everything, lowest everything.

go for nVidia you n00b... ATi for those who enjoy the game and tweaking at the same time...

nVidia so much less hassle and better in gameplay as no need to tweak, and whatsoever unlike the ATi for those pro-used need to tweak...

ATI i believe is for more advance users, who don't mind taking hassles to tweak and all those crap. For newbies like me will prefer less hassle.

currently its this, so can see wat it looks like with some eye candy
getting on avg around 60-80 fps, so ok la.
i only had ctd one time only, that was a few days ago.
also go into ur ati ccc, and edit a few settings.
set most to application settings, use in between performance and quality, and turn off AI.
later on will definitely increase the res and drop the quality to maintain the same fps.

no ati vs nvidia fanboy thingy here pls.

ATI works with AMD, and I does not really go for AMD, and yes is like AMD + ATI are more for more pro and so on, just like linux is. But come to end, i just want to get a rig that can let me play games without so much hassle. I already working in IT field with all those maintenance, tweaking, trouble shooting and so on. I wont want me gaming rig also giving me hassle.

So just leave this VS thing behind, but now the fact here is ATI is giving problems, but most likely it will got fixed up by their new driver or by BC2 new patch.

As for Nvidia also, DO NOT use the V196.75 driver. It was there to be downloaded for a few days but was taken down due to the driver causing GC to overheat due to Fan control malfunction cause by this version. Just use the 1 that is currently newest on the Nvidia main site.
