In Game Settings
Turn settings to native reso, or lower and set setting as Advanced then put all low and off.
Turn sound down from hi-fi to headset (you will have to do this each time you load the game) BC2 uses a lot CPU for sound.
"settings.ini" file @ My Documents>BFBC2 folder -(best to backup the whole BFBC2 folder 1st)
Change sound quality to low (also changeable in game menu but resets every time to hifi)

Change DXVersion-auto to 9 to force DX9 eg: DXVersion=9
here also about the same.if your system can support dx11, by all means use it.
i tried with dx9 and didnt notice any big increase in fps.
but i did notice flickering when at medium with dx9, apparently for some ppl with dx9 u have to set it high to avoid flickering.
so it was back to dx11 for me.
