It has been mentioned several times on this thread as well as on bluray.liesinc.net that LOTR trilogy from UK is not region free (but region B) and therefore it will not play on local region A BD players and PS3. But on the Prime 3.0, it should be fine, I believe.

Actually I'm getting Troy, Chronicle Riddick, and Journey Center Earth 3D from Amazon UK......Later maybe getting LOTR...thanks for the info

Yeah..the price between Amazon and Amazon UK got lotsa difference....I saved total RM100 for the same title by ordering from UK..fhew...lucky..cos' I never compare it.

Just be careful dude.. they are cheap but they are mostly substandard BD press. The expensive ones around 17 pounds are OK. I got 4-5 cheap titles from UK all have sticker "FOR RESALE OR RENTAL" on the cover ... wtf, and the video bitrates are not impressive at all - average 15Mbps only. PQ same or slightly better than DVD. But SQ are no issue. Example of titles with this are - Stealth, The patriots, Tear of the sun, Serenity. Now, I'm ordering back from US - more expensive, but I got REAL BD ... (I think my Stealth DVD has better PQ and SQ then the BD

No every title like this. Do some survey, some BDs is better than US. Lot of Trilogy BDs are almost the same. Some Concert BD is even share same version between US and UK, example, Celine Dion: A New Day.

Example is Dances with Wolves, UK and Germany already released but US not yet. UK is shorter runtime (UK is Theatre/Director's cut ??? version) whereas German version got longer runtime (because it is uncut version), almost 1 hour longer than UK version

For safe just order from Amazon.com la, what for so troublesome survey here survey there read here read there just to save a few bucks....

Actually can check around verious websites, like www.blu-ray.com, www.dvdbeaver.com, etc before order. You can still check now I doubt that if nobody inform you that there is difference, you will never realise.

Take note that in order to pass certain clasification, the BD for each different countries may have different runtime due to their want to meet their own country requirement. So, their may cut some of the scene in those BDs.

US version do not guarantee it is the best, it depend on case by case basis, you will surprise someday that, for some movies, Australia version is most complete version than the rest of the world.
