It has been mentioned several times on this thread as well as on bluray.liesinc.net that LOTR trilogy from UK is not region free (but region B) and therefore it will not play on local region A BD players and PS3. But on the Prime 3.0, it should be fine, I believe.Thats great.. |

Lot of BDs in Amazon US price drop. Quick, go to check. Interesting titles include, Orphan (for Horror fan) and The Nordic Sound: 2L Audiophile Reference Recordings (for Audiophile)

QUOTE(azbro @ May 7 2010, 12:59 PM) Just be careful dude.. they are cheap but they are mostly substandard BD press. The expensive ones around 17 pounds are OK. I got 4-5 cheap titles from UK all have sticker "FOR RESALE OR RENTAL" on the cover ... wtf, and the video bitrates are not impressive at all - average 15Mbps only. PQ same or slightly better than DVD. But SQ are no issue. Example of titles with this are - Stealth, The patriots, Tear of the sun, Serenity. Now, I'm ordering back from US - more expensive, but I got REAL BD |

QUOTE(azbro @ May 7 2010, 03:02 PM) man...I was waiting a few days for a comment like this... No every title like this. Do some survey, some BDs is better than US. Lot of Trilogy BDs are almost the same. Some Concert BD is even share same version between US and UK, example, Celine Dion: A New Day.ohh...now you tell me...ordered oledi How to know bro?...is there are website that talks abt UK BD?...I ordered those from 6.37~7.65 pounds each. Thanks... maskedchan...why never inform me abt this Added on May 7, 2010, 3:26 pmSome titles already release in other countries but US still not yet release. Some title have longer runtime than US and vice versa. Example is Dances with Wolves, UK and Germany already released but US not yet. UK is shorter runtime (UK is Theatre/Director's cut ??? version) whereas German version got longer runtime (because it is uncut version), almost 1 hour longer than UK version This post has been edited by low98944: May 7 2010, 03:26 PM |

I can only hope for the best....should have waited a little longer for more feedbacks
Next time gonna order from Amazon.com All right then.. How to compare this same title...Chronicles of Riddick? UK version: Directors Cut = Runtime 128min http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chronicles-Riddick...73218041&sr=8-1 US version: Unrated Directors Cut = Runtime 119min http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RTCP1..._rd_i=193640011 But when I check Imdb. Original movie is 119min....and Directors Cut is USA 134min Confuse This post has been edited by azbro: May 7 2010, 03:51 PM |

QUOTE(azbro @ May 7 2010, 03:36 PM) I can only hope for the best....should have waited a little longer for more feedbacks Actually can check around verious websites, like www.blu-ray.com, www.dvdbeaver.com, etc before order. You can still check now Next time gonna order from Amazon.com Take note that in order to pass certain clasification, the BD for each different countries may have different runtime due to their want to meet their own country requirement. So, their may cut some of the scene in those BDs. US version do not guarantee it is the best, it depend on case by case basis, you will surprise someday that, for some movies, Australia version is most complete version than the rest of the world.
