Mine still not shipped but don't know whether they discount or not. Check invoice price still the same.

The 3D effect was ok but the colours seems very washed out(not much colours/saturated/bland). is that how it was supposed to look?

Havent really seen the whole movie just try the 3D only.

Highly possible it's region-locked.

Anyway, initially retailers were told by the studio that they were not allowed to have "exclusive" versions of the movie (including steelbooks), which fueled speculation at the time that the studio may be releasing the 3D version which may have included 3D specs, hence requiring special packing. Now that the studio has put out that they're not planning to release a 3D version of Avatar at least until the technology matures, perhaps it's possible that the studio is giving retailers some leeway to releasing steelbook versions of Avatar. So far, only UK and Denmark versions have surfaced. So it's not inconceivable that eventually we may see a US-version steelbook as well. Well, I'm hoping so anyway.

Just received 2 parcels from Amazon UK.  2 of the cases in one of the parcel were damaged.  I wrote love letter to Amazon UK  regarding this incident .

By the way, I noticed that both parcel have been opened by someone before and their have remove the sticker in both invoices.  This make me wonder, are their starting to check content of the parcel again? 

I am wondering is this something to do with 2 of my missing parcel from Amazon US? 

My biggest worry is their also visit lowyat forum (Here!)    and if someone said he/she want to order some "special" movies, those custom officers or postman will surely closely monitor your parcel.

  Anyway, thanks.  Too expensive for me.  Anyway, I think I will not buy the case anymore cause Amazon already agreed to send me replacement BDs and their said I can keep it as compliments or donate the damaged items to charity.  Actually, only case are damaged, disc is still in good condition.  So, soon I will have 2 copied Shaolin Soccer and Leon.   

This is 3rd time already.  1st is scratched disc and 2nd time is actual product is different from description (for this case, their send me replacement BD and fully refund the purchase price and shipping cost).

Amazon's service is really superb! 

Better don't. If latter Amazon caught me selling their compliments, I will in trouble.

I'm getting LoTR T.E. because:
(1) i'm getting the steelbook version cos i'm a sucker
(2) i haven't seen LoTR yet
(3) I can't wait till 2020 (or whateva date it is) to watch the E.E. version.

errm ..... actually they're referred to as steelbook, not steelbox.

anyway, there are currently 3 known versions which have been announced:
(1) amazon.de has each of the 3 movies in separate steelbooks with different cover art for each
(2) best buy has a sticker-style steelbook version
(3) futureshop has a proper imprinted steelbook version

there could be more versions down the road, but as of now, i know of only these 3.
