but when im in stand-by mode..sometimes my iphone will off automatic and need to hold sleep/wake button+menu button to ON once again..

is this a hardware problem or firmware problem??

Completely off or just sleep? A big different on these terms.

You have to first restore it first before problem can be rectify.

completely off because i press sleep/wake button lock screen still not appear..if i hold sleep/wake button for 6sec still cant ON..my iphone is not official unlock version..im jb and unlock myself..if i restore first, sure my iphone in lock condition right?

Hurm, its better for you to study on the latest unlock tools and etc before you proceed. If yours wasnt an official unlock ones, then you will be hectic finding solution to unlock your phone. Hope you understand.

by the way, urs is iphone 3g right? if so, you can custom firmware 4.0.1 to your iphone..
and then unlock it with ultrasn0w.. dont upgrade to 4.0.2, firmware 4.0.1 will do..
you can learn how to by reading the pinned thread..

FYI i just upgrade my phone from 3G to 3GS. Got lots of apps/games on 3GS. how to restore apps/games file from my 3GS to pc, coz when i sync using itunes it will erase all the data.

yes it is 3g locked official. i ask my fren bout it and he tell me to unlock using different way other than redsn0w. he think is it a firmware fault.
i dont want to do it because i already can use it and scare if there is problem after.but im sick of restart every time i want to use it..urghhhh

how many ppl here who had encounter this problem and how to get it fix ?i assume my wifi chip had died or maybe the soldering contact points had gone bad....google it....i don dare to freeze my phone in a refrigerator or cook it in a oven at 196c for 9 minutes....i don tink restoring it will fix anything....
