QUOTE(cikguazleen @ Apr 7 2010, 09:54 AM) Hello guys, there is no software code of such for iphone... its definately a china iphone aka fake iphoneNeed help here. I've tried the search function both on lowyat and also on google but couldn find anything that can solve my problem. This is what I found under the General>About Company One: My Maxis Usable content: 25.7 Gb Total content: 29.42 Gb Software version: I835S_CHN_CA_W_V1_1_3 Edit time: 2010/02/03 16:16 BT Name: iPhone BT Address: 7a:e2:11:8d:66:01 Phone Mac Address: Not Available I bought the phone from a sale at a quite cheap price (compare to the market price of iPhone). It supposed to be an 'original' iphone 3GS 32G. However, now I am not so sure whether it's real iPhone or just another expensive China/ Taiwan fake iPhone. Everything looks like real iPhone except that most of the apps are in chinese and unfortunately I don't read chinese. Everything inside the box are very similar to what an original iPhone should get except that the leaflet guide are full of typo error. The phone works well, I can make phone calls, SMS, using the calendar, the notes are funny because it says notes but it actually supposed to be tasks. There is a compass but I don't understand it as it is in chinese. The biggest problem is my Macbook doesn't recognize the phone. The iTunes doesn't detect it under devices. So how do I know if this is a real iphone or just a fake iphone? I don't even can be sure of the version of the firmware or software? And how do I make Macbook to recognize this device? I've tried uninstall and reinstalled itunes. Not working. I've found out about device manager, and couldn't find the driver on my macbook. I've tried to googled it but couldn't find where to download it. I've tried to blackrained it but blackrain also couldn't detect the device. Please help! And thank you! |

QUOTE(leochngyh @ Apr 20 2010, 08:41 AM) the unlocked code will be sent to you via itunes when you sync your phone...you just need to contact the aussie carrier that you purchase it from.... ensure that you have enough credit in the aussie acc for them to debit.... not sure bout the unlock charges though.. |

QUOTE(SheepMekk @ May 3 2010, 09:40 PM) Anyone had the 'Invalid Sim' problem? Spirit will just allow you to JB and will not unlock the phone. It's a JB tool... Not an unlocker...Here's my story.. I'm currently using a 2G iPhone. I have a spare 3GS from my dad who accidentally upgraded to 3.1.3 with the new bootroom. Nevertheless, 'Spirit' came out and the 3GS its finally free! The problem now is the 3GS set couldn't read my SIM card. Anyway to fix this? Your 3GS could not read your SIM as the phone is locked with the carrier. Hence, the invalid SIM msg pops up.. QUOTE(kenshin @ May 3 2010, 10:28 PM) which firmware and bootrom is the phone running on now??if 3.1.3 then no locker is available |
