Pavilion got.
Saw some people getting out some sets recently.

Well, a word of reminder.
I am using an Iphone 3GS from Digi, Full signal with 3G network and yet I cant received calls n sms.
Weird thing is, when I swap to Maxis, I can receive call and Sms.
Wow DiGi.
So for all those people wanting to sign up for this little plan, better ask around or test with another DiGi number biggrin.gif
My DiGi prepaid works fine but My iPhone DiGi cant receive calls and sms although full signal and 3G~
LOL!
No wonder sometimes, people are willing to pay more to the green camp because of better services maybe.
My CC bill comes 1st b4 my iphone bill lol~

I doubt you are promoting Maxis....
If that is the case why don't you call up DiGi and ask about it and rather spend your time typing all sorts of problem you facing to us...
I can only advice you to talk to DiGi CS if you face those issue... I'm on DiGi and i don't face all this issue....

Called and asked.
I put here as a notice for people as a reminder.
Of course I'm not promoting maxis.
>"<
Point is, at least people would notice that DiGi has some network issues that need to be attended asap for customer satisfaction.

Anyway, my bill is coming in 2 more days.
Means 178 + 10 + extra usages right?
Gosh, rm 250 fly liao~

I tell them nicely, they say refer me to the highest management of technical department.
Summore can say my iPhone got problem, need RMA~
I don't mind RMA, BUT I LAZY RESTORE MY DATA~
Long story short, they say the highest "technical management" will contact me tomorrow after 6.

QUOTE(plsclickme @ Dec 15 2009, 11:21 AM)
Dear All,

Need some feedback from you guys, please assist (thanks in advance): -
- Am currently Maxis user (ported out from Celcom 2 weeks ago)
- Using 16GB iPhone 3GS with 3.1.2 and 5.11.7
- Problem discovered - while on GPRS/EDGE, Data has got higher priority than Voice.  I.e. while there is data connection established, your voice will be routed through Voicemail.  Of course this won't happen on 3G/HSDPA connection.
- To test the above - Turn Off 3G, then load any heavy website.  While it's loading, quickly use another phone to call your iPhone.

Would appreciate if Digi (iPhone) user can assist on the below as well: -
- Turn off 3G
- On your dial pad, please key in *3001#12345#*, then choose "GSM Cell Environment", then followed by "GPRS Information", then please advise the value of "Network Operating Mode".  If it's 002, I would assume you will have the same problem which I am facing.  If the NOM is 001, then I guessed the Voice should have higher priority than Data - LUCKY!
- Tested on some Celcom and Maxis transceiver tower, so far, all are running on NOM 002 sad.gif  sianz....

Thank you all and hope to have some feedback, enjoy your day ahead.

Regards,
Seb

Judging from what amyhs99 posted, the problem will only occurs when you're using data (eg: surfing web)?

I was planning on getting the iPhone 4 with the 3 year plan but thinking again, DiGi don't have iPhone upgrade plan right? I don't think I can stay on 1 iPhone for 3 years. Any ways to terminate the contract?

We use push notification on iphone right? That consider as data also, so we get quite a lot of miss call especially on grps/edge network. 3G network most of the time is ok..

Do you think that msia will get the iPhone 4 so fast?
.
U taking EPP36 month? The contract only 24mth.. Ofcoz u can terminate, just pay the penalty smile.gif Which is the remaining price of the phone i assume.

Anyone knows how they calculate the early termination penalty? Can't find anything on the Digi website.

Form my previous experience, they will calculated based on how much price of the phone discounted and how many month remaining..

Example:
Idigi 88 with iPhone3Gs 16GB, used for 8 month and wanna terminate.

RM2490 - RM1590 = RM900
RM900/24 = RM37.50

Used for 8 month, 16 month left, so:
RM37.50 x 16 = RM600

Early termination penalty = RM600

This is just my experience, not sure it applies for idigi plan or not..

Isn't this matter is technology limited and nothing much can do with? What if they set the priority on voice and people call them to complaint for cutting off their data link during an important transaction such as update, transfer, etc?

Both EDGE/GPRS and 3G/3.5G running on different technologies. Which is why... sometime you'll notice your line keep changing between E or 3G due to its location. There's a high possibility which you can't receive call and sms during EDGE data usage, and furthermore there's a "timed" loop in before the next retries to re-send the sms out, else it would be hogging their system down.

Hopefully DiGi offer something like AT&T did... whoever expiring in year 2010 can straight away register for iPhone4 contract laugh.gif

Most likely Maxis will get it first when it reached M'sia. Wondering how long would it be for DiGi to reach them.
