Anyone has the experience dealing with iPhone exchange at DiGi?

When they change the iPhone for you, do they open up a new unit or they just replace you with another RMA-ed unit?

The exchange I mentioned here is you took the iPhone away today and then return to them tomorrow for an exchange when you found out visible defects and scratch on the phone itself.

Nope, didn't left there, but I'm just wondering in this kind of exchange exercise which they'll treat it as RMA process, would the exchanged unit is a NEW or RMAed unit?

I heard that they don't even provide box for the exchanged unit.

BTW, that 5% is tax and you can't escape it.

That tax exist even if you are not on iDiGi plan. Unless you're ruling, there will be the same everywhere in M'sia.

The thing is I didn't check the iPhone upon receiving because I was rushing. Then only I noticed there is rubber coming out from the chrome and the side is scratched when I inspect the phone at night.

I called DiGi CustCare and they said I'm allowed to change. I went to BTS DiGi Centre but they said no stock at the moment, need to wait till stock arrived and they'll contact me.

However, till now there is no news yet. It has been since Saturday.

Black or White? Well, on basis a branch wouldn't be keeping a lot of replacement unit. If I'm right, they will keep at least 3 replacement units of each model (judging from experience but not facts). If I remember correctly, there are 3 branches in KL which operates from 10am to 10pm. Times Square, SoHo KL and forgot the other one.

You can actually claim your replacement at any branch. I would personally suggest SoHo KL to avoid the crowd in Times Square

Again, replacement unit is not the same with boxed unit for new sign-up or sales. Your replacement unit will not come in box, you'll just exchange your iPhone and your Privilege Card, bear that in mind not to expect a new boxed unit

Please don't mix up between boxed unit and replacement unit. Both are different. They may have stock for boxed unit, but may not be for replacements

Pavilion's branch is slow? Wait till you actually queued up at Times Square during their peak hours which usually = after working hours

Why did you not pass them your contact and just ask them to contact you when replacement unit being available? Or perhaps you can actually ask them to check other branches around for stock availability and then you head up there right away

Just be patience and you'll get your iPhone replaced

I took Black, coz White out of stock. But I never regret and thanks godness that Whites are out

BTW, anyone here got problem with their iPhone's white chrome? Easily get scratched or dented case?

You may use your Internet immediately but chances are you'll get billed for your previous plan before switched

Best wait for 24 hours and check on DiGi (call their CustCare no. or find them on D`Chat) if you already been ported to the new plan

It is a 1 to 1. Chances that they may take your phone for couple of hours for inspection (according to one forumer's case here). If they discovered the problem and needed to RMA, they will change one immediately with you else they'll get your contact, and call you again to visit them once the replacement unit arrived

Mine protected by my casing, it covers it as well. Well, basically it definitely easy get scratched especially when you put it on a surface.

I wonder why there are so many complaints or problem with the Apple iPhone. It suppose to be a premium product, perhaps a not-so-good QC at China? Hopefully I'm not biased, or perhaps user problem itself.

However, from my current experience I'm judging that their QC isn't that good. Some units I had seen with either excess rubber coming out from side of the white chrome, the white chrome dented or scratched, excess of gum coming out from the side of the case and button problems, etc.

My friend's unit, the white chrome isn't aligned with the case at the side, thus like a "cutting" feeling when moving through it.

Well... apply for either a VISA or MASTER credit card, that will settles up the case

No doubt S'pore telco offer is better than M'sia. But again, it is 2 different countries and lets not try to compare between Malaysia against Singapore or Hong Kong. They may be better, but look at our side, our land is wayyy bigger. Why not compare the houses price in between?

Both S'pore and HK have very concentrated population, if a company spend a lump sum to install 3G equipment in an area and it earn damn lots, what about M'sia? Our population isn't that concentrated, thus earning ratio wouldn't be exactly the same.

You can use up to 20GB per month and DiGi wouldn't charge you another cent for data.

Does it matter if it applies before or after the 200 mins?

What's the different if it matters?
