Juz a quick question!

Is it true that the first few weeks does not have tutorial classes? Does this mean we are free during this time?

It certainly depends on the subjects specifically. Some lecturers prefer not to have tutorials in 1st or 2nd weeks as what the lectures cover could essentially be those stuff in A-Level, i.e. revision. Follow your lecturers' advice on the tutorial sessions in early weeks.

Wait, do you mean the tutorial sessions for the modules or tutorial sessions with your personal tutor?

Yeah, blocks certain sites that are deemed politically unfavorable, warez and torrenting, etc.

But for academic and general entertainment use would be sufficient.
*
What you mean sufficient. More than sufficient, with the amount of databases subscribed by the Uni. laugh.gif

Unless more specific ones then that might be a problem.

The induction doesn't teach us how to complete those forms.

Try to ask your coursemates/tutors/lecturers about it.

To make you feel a bit sad. If you were to join 2 years earlier, you get thermodynamics and fluid mechanics as separate modules (both year 1 and year 2), and you get EM to be separated into different modules as well. Materials & Materials Forming is just the nasty one we have to face.

lol the lecturers did mention that the modules were separated once upon a time. And after they combined it and made it a year long module, there's a 20% fail rate. Fuuuuuuu....

@mackioes,

lol boss, i dun have a wifi-enabled phone nor the desire to distract myself in class la... Come say hi though, i'm wearing blue tee with shorts + backpack. Shoes got wet during treasure hunt yesterday. SMH...

Yeap. Fresh new balls. Tested already. I saw the packaging too. It's quite nice to play now. Better faster faster go play before people spoil it within 3 months or smtg.

Edit: Shit fresh new balls sound wrong. Fresh new billiard balls.
