Hey everyone. I'm using a dell inspiron 1464. Can anyone recommend a good cooler for me? And, just wanted to ask, which type of cooler is better? The ones that suck air, or the ones that blow air? The intake vents on my laptop appear to be on the bottom though...

save your $$ for the suck air device. u can try coolermaster U2 n the price is reasonable too.

Hi New to laptop cooling thing. Bought a Dell XPS 15 just recently. Played l4d2 on it and it was so soooo HOT (on the left side)

I did something naive by just lifting the back part of the laptop by resting it on a cellotape, providing gap of contact between the btm of the laptop and the table. (does that contribute in cooling? o.O)

Anyways, wantedt o ask on what is the best cooler for it? =) 15.6'' size

I think my budget would be around RM100 plus minus...

So you mean that it's better to buy a cooler that sucks air? But i'm worried/confused...coz my laptop takes in air from the bottom, and releases hot air from the side. So if I buy a cooler that sucks air, wouldn't it clash with the air intake of my laptop? This is the question that has been bugging me for some time...

i meant those suck air device not worth it.
Just get a notebook cooler such as coolermaster notepal U2. U2 fan speed is better then U3 version.
Try to google for U2 or U3 if u want to know more on the specification.

Oooh thanks!! Erm just a couple more questions. If I had a choice, should I buy Coolermaster U2, or Infinite? And what's the average pricing on those two?

Thanks for the reply. Now my friend told me that he has an unused Coolermaster Infinite. Is it better to take that or go with the U3?

average pricing u2, rm69
infinite 85.

price may change accordingly.

regarding infinite u3 vs infinite. still waiting for the feedback from users since no one comparing them yet in terms of perfomance and heat dissipation. i have take a look at u3 and infinite, my personal choice would be u3 since the fan is adjustable in position. wink.gif

Whether the fan will be blocked by the pillow cover depends on which position you place your fan.... But most of the time the fans will be blocked nod.gif

Hey everyone...I just wanted to ask, is there any gamers out there? I'm asking coz you see...after gaming, I check the temperature on my laptop using coretemp...and it's written there that the highest temperature that was reached was 84C! My friend only got around 70+C. And this happened while my cooler was on. The next time I tried, I turned the cooler off, and this time, it's still 80+C. So I'm wondering if my cooler even works, and, whether or not 80+C is normal for gaming on a laptop.
