I'm going to there but havent. Well based on logic i think is correct , generally Taylor student were rich and when you're rich mean you're proud like high class and low class like that.. >.<

what do you mean by proud? A lot of us are proud of our uni if normal proud definition since we work hard with them ^^

Or do you mean a lot are arrogant? Well you will find those kind of students anywhere.Especially in places like Taylor's and Sunway where there are a lot of rich kids that are pampered by parents around not to say all rich kids are like that but in such a large community like Taylor's and Sunway of course it would be easier to find those kind of people than other colleges.There would be a number of arrogant people around but I would say I haven't meet that many around.I do know a few but hey you can always choose to not hang around them if they annoy you ^^ Most people I know are pretty cool sporting people and very fun to hang out with especially if you involve yourself with ECA you will have more chances to meet great people ^^ Taylor's have a huge community of students there are a lot of people from rich people to people who couldn't afford by to pay themselves but have earned some kind of Taylor's Scholarship and financial aid through their hard work =).There are also JPA/MARA/Bank Negara and other sponsored students around ^^

Why didnt i see Pshchology in them?

Psychology is only offered in Taylor's as a Major in the American Degree Program.There is no specific degree for Psychology offered in Taylor's yet.

Is there any other bio-related courses other than those stated? I remember there were also Nutrition, etc.

As far as I know those courses listed are the only courses that are currently offered in Taylor's.I took the list of courses from the Taylor's Student Hand Book 2010 and the Taylor's Website

A few years back Nutrition and a few other courses were in the course book. DO u think it's possible the courses were removed? :sad:

Speaking of April, I heard the move is supposed to be after a break, but I recall the 2010 Master Academic Calendar mentioning something about a break starting the 3rd week of April. Seeing as the UniSA degree students get a 2-week break, doesn't that mean they'll move in May? <___<

Yeah there's a major parking problem in lakeside now ^^"People actually have to drive all the way and park in PJ and take the shuttle bus to lakeside.The parking problem won't be solved anytime soon >.< After much complaining only they let people with green stickers park at lakeside together with red stickers making competition for parking even worst ^^" The lecturers and staff already took all the parkings under the academic block leaving only those parkings next to Block E for students use...The management told us by the time the commercial block is finished in July there will be approximately 600 more parking spaces so we don't have to worry..... but by then all the other programs would have moved here and add more than thousand students more in lakeside >.<

Which UniSA students are you talking about business or communication? ^^ If I'm not mistaken the new semester for the Business UniSA courses will be starting in lakeside this Tuesday not so sure about when communication will be moving there ^^" but hey it's pretty messed up now so we can only safely say by May most people would be in the lakeside campus probably during that break you mentioned they will do the move I don't see a better timing along those times. ^^

1. How frequent is the A-level real test per year?
2. Can I take w/o finishing all my syllabus?

oh what degree are you planning on doing?It might be a better idea to sit for a shorter pre-u like SAM or ICPU if you can't make it with your STPM results depending on what course you are planning to do and where you want to do it since CAL is an 18 months program ^^"

The major AS and A2 exams are held twice a year around May/June and October/November

um I don't quite understand this question ^^" If you mean you enroll then take AS half way through the course then go straight for A2,I'm not so sure if you can do that.You would have to ask Taylor's if they would allow you to do so.

3. Entry requirement?
Entry Requirements for Cambridge A-Levels and any other pre-u courses in Taylor's are 5 Credits in SPM including English and Math/Science subjects if your planning on taking Math/Science Subjects in A-Levels.

btw, have the a-level fees naik this year?

not sure since I did not do CAL but should be since the fees usually have a slight increase by year though I don't think got that much difference from last year.The fees this year in Subang Jaya Campus is RM24,065 (RM8,755+RM7,655+RM7,655) if you do 3 subjects and RM30,095((RM10,765+RM9,665+RM9,655) if you do 4 subjects.Tuition Fees 4 Subjects RM24,120 while 3 Subjects RM18,090 with both having Misc Fees of RM5,975 amounting to the total fees I showed.Fees in Sri Hartamas Campus would be slightly higher.

In brackets are fees for each semester.

Rationally, I don't think so. It depends on your group of friends. Yes, maybe they are rich, but they are not arrogant. They are pretty cool and really help me alot when I first entered taylor's. For your information, I am from JB. I had the same perception as you but time proves me wrong!

The parking problems won't really be resolved yet.The problem has existed since classes started in lakeside in January.Taylor's has assured students that when the commercial block is completed in July there will be approximately 600 more parking spaces.Now that much space won't help solve the problem ^^" I just came back from the orientation for February intake degree students today.I was helping with registering the new students and today Taylor's have added approximately 700+ people to their student body ^^" Now considering not everybody drives a car it should still be ok come July if we see from the number of students currently but starting from next month onwards the School of Computing,Design School and others who have not moved to lakeside yet will in phases start moving to lakeside and will completely be moved to lakeside in June.That will be adding a few hundred more people to the lakeside student body not to mention by July there would be another intake for most of the degree programs and foundations in march and july ^^" Therefore the parking problem won't be going away anytime soon.The problem might be around for a long time but lets hope for those who are spending a few more years in Taylor's the problem would be resolved once phase 2 of the lakeside campus is done in 2012 ^^"

Sorry, was referring to the School of Communication. I just had orientation (which was disappointing, to say the least) for the UniSA CMM degree today. Apparently we're moving over in...July. That's quite a distance away from the initial plan - April. Hopefully the parking problem will be resolved by then, though honestly, I doubt it - I believe someone mentioned today that the student population is like, several thousand (with five digits) if I recall correctly.

This does not bode well. Making students park in LCS and then taking a bus to the lakeside campus is rather sad, honestly.

Also, the student handbook they distributed today contains...directions on how to wash your hands. WTF?

Hi there, Just wanna ask, I'm planning to take International Business and Marketing, but before that, I'm going for the Foundation first. I heard that dual degree for the course is University of West Ebgland, Bristol. Well, if I don't wanna study in UK, can I go to Australiaand study?

Yes you may credit transfer to Australia using Taylor's-UWE IB and Marketing dual degree as long as you meet the other universities entry requirements but by doing so you won't get a Taylor's or UWE Degree.If you do IB and Marketing in Taylor's then go transfer to UWE you would still get a UWE degree + a degree from Taylor's but not if you to other universities.If you are planning to go to Australia I would recommend you to go for Taylor's UniSA twinning for Marketing.It would be easier to transfer to Australia with that course.You can go transfer to UniSA anytime as long as you have passed 4 subjects while you were in Taylor's.By getting a GPA of 4 out of 7 you can transfer to any other business course when you transfer to UniSA in Adelaide while if you are just transferring over to Adelaide and not changing you course there is no minimum GPA needed just that you have passed four courses ^^ Of course if your GPA is very low maybe below 3.5 the program director will send you a letter to ask are you sure about transferring over to Adelaide since your not scoring in Malaysia so you might want to think about transferring to Adelaide but if you want to do it they won't stop you just they will ask if your really sure.Of course that is assuming if you get low marks,you might be a top scorer who always score full marks for all I know ^^. the Taylor's UniSA program also have articulation agreements to University of Western Australia (UWA) ,Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), University of Technology, Sydney(UTS) and University of Queensland (UQ) for 1+2 arrangements.Transferring over to Australia is easier through the UniSA program than the Taylor's-UWE dual degree program.

Taylor has a course called AUP/ADTP right?? Can someone confirm for me, are they offering Organic Chemistry II next semester?? Because I am going back to Malaysia and take this subject, unfortunately Inti are not offering.

Hello! Im interested in knowing more information about the 2+3 medical programme at Taylor's. Im a Malaysian, now living in Denmark with Danish Pre-Univ. Soon moving back to Malaysia and wondering if they accept my danish pre-univ.
what is the fees for the 2 years medical programme in Malaysia?

and ask them whether they accept your pre-u and also the fees. ^^ I never saw them put anything besides the brochure on the course in Student Central so I never got to know the fees ^^" so better email them so they can send it to you and ask them further questions ^^

hey ts, did u left out the course (diploma in Construction Management) in the division of architecture, builiding and design? just wondering if its included and will be swifting to the lakeside campus.

hum added the Diploma program.Not sure but if I'm not mistaken the whole division should be moving to lakeside.I took the list of courses from the TUC 2010 student handbook maybe the people who did the handbook forgot to include the diploma programs for the division ^^"
The whole TCPJ should be moving by June/July.

i guess those 2 diploma courses is not offered in the lakeside campus, as i just rang up the taylors management for lakeside campus, saying that they dun have tht course.

I was also able to get my hands on the fees just now.
Full Tuition + Misc fees in Taylor's for the two years there are RM 118,300

oh yeah and seems Taylor's has increased their transfer options.They are not on the Taylor's website yet just took the list from Student Central today ^^

You don't pay in one shot for any course ^^" All payments are according to semester and must be payed latest on the commencement date of that semester ^^ I'm not sure how long but once you are late for a certain time they will start charging you late fees and after a certain time they will bar you from classes ^^"

Anyone knows the direction to Taylor Lakeside Campus??

Lakeside ^^ You only go to Subang if you want to enroll in SAM/CAL/ICPU.

Yeah it's still in the PJ campus if I'm not mistaken and will be only be moving around may/june/july but you can register the course at lakeside and ask them to give you a campus tour or something since it will only be in PJ for a few more months ^^

foundation in built environment: minimum 5 credits including maths and english.

so if i got the 5 credits excluding either maths or english.. will i still be able to enrol?

Yeah most likely you will start in the PJ campus for about 2 or 3 months then only the division will move over to lakeside since the facilities are not fully complete yet over in lakeside to house all the divisions ^^

About the requirements there will be a few scenarios.
1.They won't accept you.If this happens I would recommend you to go for SAM/CAL/ICPU.
2.If you don't satisfy for English they might ask you to take an English bridging course before they allow you to enter the program.
3.First they will bring it up to the program director.From there he/she will decide whether to accept you or not.If he/she decide to accept you,it mostly will be with a condition that you achieve a certain mark for your exam that she/he have set.

Taylor's Open Day will be soon ^^ Go there,bring your results and see the lecturers and program director yourself ^^ a lot easier to discuss your options like that ^^

From what I heard during my degree orientation thingmajig, the School of Communication is only moving to the lakeside campus in July (several months behind April as initially suggested). I'd assume everything else in LCS are gonna be moving around the same time, too.

Yeah from what I heard from the staff all the programs that are left in LCS will be moving quite late.They will move ranging from April and latest July.Most likely they will move programs when those programs are having holidays so most likely after semester exams or mid semester exams maybe

If I'm not wrong the system works about the same as the lakeside parking.It's free until July but you need to register and get the car sticker first to park there ^^

You can try the MPSJ hall near the pasar.

If you want to play basketball you can try the court in the playground in front Subang Square where ADP is.
You can play football or any other field sport in the field in ss15 near the housing area,across KFC.

For badminton I know there's a court in SS17 across the road from SS15.It's in Jaya Square the same building with Neway Karaoke.

This is very old price I took from some other forum ^^" Not sure if the price has increased.Last time I went to play there last year my friend payed for us and I only paid for drinks so was not sure about the price XD

For other sports I'm not so sure.You can go to the Lakeside Campus to play there I guess if it's already complete XD
Or you can go to the ECA center in front the Subang Campus and ask Shirley or Elaine over there ^^ if I'm not mistaken there was a list of sport facilities that Taylor's have booked on certain days.

Hi there, I hope some of you here can clear my doubt..

There's an April intake for Diploma in Hotel Management course. May I know if this is an 'express intake'? As in the students have to catch up with those in the Jan intake. Or it is a completely new, independent intake like the one in July? Because I heard the March/April intakes are usually for those who went for NS and couldn't join the Jan intake..

As far as I know, all intakes of Diploma and Foundation programs are independent new intakes.The "express intake" only applies to pre-u programs like CAL,SAM and ICPU.This is because those pre-u programs have already been set by their external bodies when their major exams will be therefore can not be a new intake since everyone has to take the exams at the same time.This is a different case for Diploma and Foundation programs where exam dates and exam papers are set by the Lecturers in Taylor's and maybe for TCHT programs are moderated by the France Ministry of Education.

For march intake you will start at the PJ campus in Leisure Commerce Square.If I'm not mistaken the foundation in natural and built environment program will be in the PJ campus for about three months more and then around June or July the whole division will move over to the new Lakeside Campus =)

If you want to register for Taylor's programs it depends on which program you are looking for.For pre-university programs like Cambridge A-Levels(CAL),South Australian Matriculation(SAM),International Canadian Pre-U(ICPU) you go to Taylor's College Subang Jaya to apply or for CAL,SAM and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme(IB) you can also go to Taylor's College Sri Hartamas to register.For any other Foundation,Diploma and tertiary programs you go to Taylor's University College Lakeside Campus =)
You could also go to Taylor's Open Day on the 20th and 21st March to register and ask any questions to our counselors and lecturers and hear some talks =)

Go to the lakeside campus to register.Most admission staff have moved there now so registering there would be a much easier task.The best time to register right now is to come to the Taylor's Open Day this weekend at the lakeside campus =)
You get to look around the campus among other stuff.
You also get to hear some talks and there is a RM200 early bird discount provided you are not eligible for any other discounts,bursaries and scholarships if you register by this weekend.

Pre-U programs mainly CAL,SAM,ICPU and IB are going to stay in Subang Jaya and Sri Hartamas Campus.
Mainly it's because of the location in Sri Hartamas resulting in higher utilities fees and everything for Taylor's in which resulting the students paying more.The facilities in the Sri Hartamas Campus are also significantly newer and a bit more modern than the Subang Jaya Campus and I would imagine they are giving more allowance to their staff who are teaching there in terms of transportation as some of them who may live away from Sri Hartamas now have to drive all the way there everyday.The only pre-u courses in Lakeside are Foundation Courses which belongs to Taylor's.All International Pre-U programs like SAM,ICPU,CAL and IB will remain in Taylor's College.

There is no building for pre-u in lakeside there and there won't be any according to any current plans by Taylor's.BTW the Subang Jaya campus is no longer the main campus as the Lakeside Campus is the only Taylor's University College now while the two school of pre-u are Taylor's College Subang Jaya and Taylor's College Sri Hartamas.Taylor's is targeting and planning to apply for full University status from MOHE by the completion of phase 2 of Lakeside in 2012 upgrading itself to Taylor's University.They have separated into two entities under the Taylor's Education Group being Taylor's College with all the international pre-university programs and Taylor's University College which houses all Taylor's Certificate,Foundation,Diploma and Degree program though there are still strong bonds between the two that it doesn't seem like it has separated into two entities =)

No, the registrations is still open for CAL in Taylor's.Registration for CAL March intake is open up to 29th March which is the commencement date.After 29th March has passed whether you can still register or not will be handled on a case-by-case basis with the latest being two weeks after the commencement date where the registrations will be fully closed =)

My fren is ambassador...He told me they gonna build another building for sport then another building for pre-u soon

I'm myself is a Student Ambassador,Taylor's gave most of us scripted answers to several questions in a booklet for the last open days and campus days, there is an answer guide given to us if people were to ask us :

Those answers were quoted directly from the Student Ambassadors handbook given to us by Taylor's so as you can see where ever your friend got that piece of information he has been misinformed and there is no such building for sports though Taylor's has and is building 3 multipurpose courts,Tennis Court,Badminton Courts,Cricket Nets,Gym,Swimming pool,Dance Room and a Music Room.

what is all about the early bird discount ?

is there any online counselor? i live in sarawak and i only applied for world class scholarship. If i cant get that scholarship, ill proceed with the other scholarships. i got too many questions to ask. so ask through email?

The early bird discount of RM200 is if you register into Taylor's Programs by this week's open day.However if you are eligible for any other scholarship,grant or bursary, you won't be eligible for the early bird discount.In short it's only for those who register by this week's open day and is not eligible for any other type of discount or fee waiver.

Better call them directly rather than emailing them.Taylor's is a bit slow in replying emails.Where do you live in Sarawak? Taylor's has a Regional Office in Kuching, you can go there to inquire if you have any other questions or if you can't go there give them a call =)

how about the course fees of A levels in Taylor's? the actual fees i mean. i have a look in the HELP's website and the tuition fees for a level ( 4 subjects ) there is RM25000.

Don't worry June intake has quite a large number of students like March intake as well though mostly the largest intake is usually the January intake.June is when all the JPA,MARA,Petronas,Bank Negara etc scholars will come in so you might get a class with a lot of really bright students in it ^^
Get involved with some activities around campus and you can get to know people from other intakes and programmes as well XD

lol ^^" well not literally a ferry as in the boat.It just means there will be a bus to transport students to the Lakeside campus if anybody from Subang Jaya needs to go there ^^
