Hello, I'm a SPM leaver. I'm interested in TUC.
Just wondering.
It's worth if taking Foundation of Science for Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Taylor ? or is there any other University or College that is better in this.
And also, I heard Electrical and Electronic Engineering is hard. Really ?
Is it worth or not it is completely up to you.I don't know about whether it's hard or not ^^" Anything is hard just how you look at it and how hard you work for it =) The thing I heard about E&E is about the job prospects are not so wide rather than the course is hard or not.
Foundation is Science in Taylor's is good in a sense you can also still change to other fields if you don't want to go for Engineering after Foundation and also to other wide range of Universities Taylor's has partnerships with but rather than taking FIS I would recommend you to go for Pre-Us like CAL,SAM or CPU to have more open choices on where to go and scholarship opportunities after pre-u rather than limiting your choices with FIS.You could do your pre-u in Taylor's then only decide where to go as usually you would have a clearer vision after pre-u.
Taylor's is a new player in the field of engineering in terms of offering it's own Degree but if overall counting the years when they partnered Sheffield and Birmingham it has been about 13 years but still new when compared to other Universities. Most good points I can say about it are written here
so you can read about it there
http://www.taylors.edu.my/courses/engineer...ding.php?id=103You can also use the Degree as a stepping stone to transfer to the range of partner universities Taylor's have in UK and Australia through 2+2/1+2 pathways or complete the whole degree in Taylor's and get a Taylor's Degree.
I do have a lot of friends doing Engineering in Taylor's after SAM mostly but a lot of them also choose to go to more famous and reputable universities like Monash,Nottingham,Curtin etc which has campuses in Malaysia or they went overseas ^^".
I heard UNITEN is one of the best choices for an E&E degree locally.
