QUOTE(amir_kaldra @ Aug 17 2010, 10:14 AM) hahahah. I'm happy with the speaker sound but i dont to disturb my housemate if playing late at night. @viruz019 : how u connect roccat kave to g73. the headset need for port for 3.5 jack right? It's not suitable because the Roccat Kave has 3 3.5mm jacks (Cannot confirm but I know the 5.1 Roccat has three jacks), one for the center, one for the two front speakers and two for the rear speakers. The G73JH has only one 3.5mm Stereo output jack. For full 5.1/7.1 option with headphones & speakers with multiple jacks you need an external sound card which cost extra. You can save the cost if you look for 5.1/7.1 headphones with USB interface but that usually cost around RM350~RM550. It's really up to you but I prefer the USB option as I don't have to carry around an additional device with the laptop on the go and the G73JH is a HUGE pain to move around as it is Update: Correction, it has one USB and 4 3.5mm jacks. The Megalodon is extremely comfortable and I love the options to customize it. I'm waiting for the razer store to stock up on the leather cups and I will order it then. They are telling me it will be in stock end of this week and if that is true I will get it because the reviews says the leather cups adds better sound/bass to the entire system. Overall it doesn't hurt my ears after hours of gaming and everyone is reporting the mic on the Megalodon is clear and crisp. Oh it also looks b****ing cool and I love the built in sound card/equalizer that came with it

If ur hearing is good, then u could tell the difference when ur using different kind of headphone. My Personal preference still: Bass/Rock,techno music - Creative EP-630 Gaming/classical music - Steelseries In-ear gaming earphone with microphone bundle.

What headset u recommend? I'm not very knowledgeable in headphones but for that budget you could go for the Logitech G35 surround sound. You need to ask Jeffrey that as he was showing interest in that unit when we spoke last month @Jeffrey, so did your new headset arrive yet?

QUOTE(amir_kaldra @ Aug 17 2010, 06:49 AM) Thanks Jeffrey1987. I kinda like the desgn of roccat kave too but I already own asus xonar u1 and use it own my old desktop. Its kinda redundant to buy Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1. Any other suggestion? Besides of Roccat Kave, other 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound gaming headsets are more expensive . . . For instance, Logitech G35, Logitech G930 (new) and etc . . .

QUOTE(viruz019 @ Aug 17 2010, 09:38 AM) Roccat Kave is indeed a VERY good headset..tried it with music + songs really enjoy it a lot. But then as usual, there will always be a problem..wearing it too long makes ur ear hot n sweaty..the controller/equalizer keeps pulling the headset down if you don't settle it down on the table anyway, the built in sound card in G73 is not that good? hmm guess need to add more stuff to my monster upgrades TS! would be nice if u update the thread with few of this: 1) Owner List 2) Owner Gathering Date + Successful Gathering (with pics) 3) Problems that can be found in this laptop and Solutions to the problem 4) A list of gear to add up to the monster to make it more "imba" I agree with you. Especially the owner list . . .
