haha...u knw d trick too huh. I just got a hand carry trolly bag. Which is inside my luggage. And if they said overweight during baggage drop off, I just take out the entire bag out n handcarry them in d cabin n AA staff will weigh the bag before going in2 the flight. N if yr partner's handcarry is morethan 7kg , he/she must remove some item in2 yr bag on the spot even though u say got 2 of u. They r worry abt in flight safety.May be if the hand carry bag fall from overhead compartment to someone's head, it will not be hurt or kill that person (my personal reason  tongue.gif )....something like that...For safety reason as what they say.

Is it a wise thing to reach Bangkok then only get my desired hotel? The price from the hotel's website is much more ex than what my friend mentioned. He went there last month and got his hotel on the spot.

Going to bangkok in Oct - Nov 2011.

Just booked my ticket to Thailand with MAS for my trip during end of Jan.
Before that, can I ask whether we need to pay any additional airport charges upon arrival to Bangkok airport besides the airport tax that I have paid in my airport ticket?

Besides that, anyone have experience travelling to Bangkok with MAS?
How much do they charge for excessive baggage charges per kg?
If I need to pay for those excessive baggage charge, can I use VISA to pay at the counter?
Mind to share more.

I guess u can walk..is just less than 1km. For such short distance...I guess it will cost you may be 40 - 50THB per tuk2...No idea. cos I will always walk there.Hardly take tuk tuk. Taxi is sometimes cheaper cos it comes with metre, air-cond & all covered
