Is baiyoke boutique or baiyoke suite better?
*
Nvr stay Bai.Suite. But stayed in Boutique. Dun really like it. Location is behind Bai. Sky.Rooms decor is kind of gloomy looking . Try to be retro looking however it failed to bring up the decor sense. Moreover, if u have heavy shopping , you have to climd a few steps to the lift and a few steps down to your room corridor.

certainly you can but cost u a bomb for roaming if u dun mind. U can actually buy a prepaid TH SIM card - TRUE. calling back to msia is so much cheaper. Just get it from 7/11 and airport do have but more expensive package which I advise don't bother to buy it from them.

I normally ask ppl to text me to M'sia hp n I replied with TH sim card. And of course u got to have 2 hp.

And if you notice, MAXIS calling to TH is so expensive now ....RM2 per min 30 sec block.Use to be less than 50cents. Digi is cheaper for you to call Thailand

Tis is my personal opinion. Don't like the retro decor.Looks so deceiving from their website (Baiyoke Boutique) Well, I like it simple & clean. Therefore I have so far stayed Best Western Mayfair Suite and PR Place which is nearby Pratunam

Best Western- love it cos they provide free tuk tuk ride to pratunam and u can call them to pick u back after shopping at the same point they drop u. And PR Place u probably walk less than 200m to Pratunam & within 500 m to Platinum

And PR place is the nearest to Airport Rail Link station - Ratchaprarop .walk less or within 100m

yukisee@ if yr purpose to go bangkok is to shop shop shop .. baiyoke boutique could be one of the choices as it is near to platinum and also pratunam. after all, the room is just to sleep and rest. most of the time, you will be out shopping right ? i hv stayed there before, the only thing i dont like is that if u get the room at the back, the train line at the back will wake you up every morning.

I stayed in Classic suite @ 900THB. U r not sharing with anyone. all to yrself.Dun expect big lobby.Just a small lobby one reception & 1 guard. U will get free instant noodle x 2, biscuits & coffee tea & also free drinking water. what u see the picture on d website is exactly d same. Their bedroom & pantry r separated. Very clean. d best thing floor is not carpeted. And that's d reason why I dun like baiyoke boutique...it has got carpet. A bit geli to walk on it.At PR place u have shoe rack to place yr shoes. They have a self service washing machine & dryer

Ya, im just for shopping purpose, im considering baiyoke suite, is it will be better than baiyoke boutique, hehe..
cause based on drezzup, the distance from baiyoke & pr place to platinum mall will be almost the same, just that baiyoke is in pratunam area, is it?

planning to go to bangkok next week. as its my first time going there, i need a few pointers from guys and gals who had experience in bangkok.

1. what will be the most affordable method to get from airport to city & getting around town
2. any recommended hotel (budget around rm150-200 per night)
3. what are the main attractions for food & shopping?
4. recommended amount of cash for spending?

thanks
