A quarter of women over 35 say they never have sex





More than one in four British women aged 35 and over "never" have sex, a poll has revealed.

A total of 28% of women said they never make love, with the figure being highest in Scotland (38%). Meanwhile, 32% of women in the Midlands said they have sex on a weekly basis.

Among those having sex, women without children said they had more orgasms, with 41% saying they orgasm most of the time. The figure dropped to 12% of women with one child and 14% of those with two.

Most women said the daily grind of the office had an impact on their sex lives, with 67% of those working part time saying they had orgasms most or all of the time compared with 55% of women working full time.

The survey was released by Sky Real Lives to mark the launch of its new series, The Secret Guide To Women's Health.

It found most women admit to violent mood swings at certain times of the month, with 35% of those aged 35 to 44 saying they felt violent tendencies towards themselves or someone else during their period.

The poll of 745 women also found that 42% of those aged 35 to 64 have sought medical help for depression or are thinking about doing so.

Barbara Gibbon, head of Sky Real Lives, said: "Women's health has never been such a hot topic.

"The survey results indicate that there are issues that are just not being talked about and women are suffering in silence - PMS (premenstrual syndrome) and its mental impact being just one case in point.

"As a channel dedicated to women, we feel that looking into every aspect of health and delivering key information to our audience is incredibly important - knowledge really is power."

..oh wow, the results are a little bit of a shocker because I keep thinking that people (regardless of gender) these days started having sex at a very early age.

i could end some of the ladies depressions

maybe due to women are now demanding more and more on career until personal life is compromised, this is my opinion. Seriously i saw many career women are so hard working and concentrate solely on career until there is no or little personal life in them...not only sex but social life as well.

I think there's some truth in this...........

At first it talk bout the result of survey for woman in British,
then slowly it talk like that represent the entire female population?

I was questioning it until I saw it was British women

Now it all makes sense as to why they arent having sex

i am amazed at how some close-minded people here thinking that having sex is a 'must' in one's life...

having sex or not is one's choice, be it woman or man... it's not a necessity like food or air...

i hope i dont end up that way when i'm after 35. but im havin' sex even when i'm focus on my career. just need to balance between sexercising n work.

n yea.. sex is becoming a lil overrated at the moment (although the pleasure n intensity is fulfilling ). its all up to an individual anyways... n sex isn't that enjoyable when there's no mutual connection with someone.

Agree with you on this.........i think the most insecure ppl are those who will try anything to have sex just so they can be part of a "culture" or a "trend of modern society" that to them seems relevant, not like olden days thinking. I still believe in integrity and self esteem to be a top most priority in a person, not whether how many times he/she got laid.

there are cases with women naturally born with low sex drive, dono if it's biological factor or mentality. but like mentioned above, it depends to the women. some had it very early some late, some just to follow trend (peer pressure). but sex is a natural thing, just go with nature
other than the many benefits which have been pointed out by experts, it makes a woman feels sexy too. however, still, i do believe some don't even have the TIME to, seeing that women nowadays are thrown with much more burdens and responsibilities than before.

dey dun hav sex coz European dont shave........

they cant shave.......too cold later all freeze.......

the more education a woman has, the less likely she wants to have kids let alone be married. Over 35 ...
