Kul | Mo0: A proper background is most important as you need low to minimal light as the strobe is not very powerful.
linkinstreet: But the girl in front is in focus! It just has shallow depth of field. clivengu: Ah, that means it is in CTRL2 (classic CTRL) mode. That is why your ratio setting has only CTRL and RMT numbers (1:1). This can trigger the F36 and F56, but only on an A850/A900. You need to change it to CTRL1 (new CTRL+) mode. Go into the custom menu again and change it from CTRL2 to CTRL1 mode. Now the ratio should say 1:1:1 and allow you to control CTRL, RMT and RMT2 on the A700. Note that the F42 cannot join the RMT2 group - only the F58 can, so if you want 3 separate ratios you'll need 2 F58s and 1 F42. lugiamcg: Yes, a friend jam braked and his camera fell from seat to floor causing a broken LCD. It was in the earlier version of the Crumpler 6 Million I think, which did not have padding on the top pocket. lildaredevil906: Dirt on contacts is a problem - looseness is not. TrutH_SeeKeR: The A700 with F58 mounted on top, cannot trigger the F56. It can only trigger the F42/F58 as the manual says. Only the A850/A900 can. What I did was I swapped my F56 with a friend's F42, until I got an A900. noellee69[/b: Whoa, tight! The tilt is a bit odd. [b]cjlai: Nice, though watch the bottom of the frame (you've cropped the stairs!) lwliam: I like how they have 3 different poses. jtcs87: #1 needs flash badly. #2 is good #3 is not so. gizmo_pony: Not true. destfull: I think it will be priced cheaper than the Olympus EP-1 and Panasonic GF-1 since it doesn't appear to have PASM modes, but will cost more than an A200 unless the Olympus FL-1 is very cheap. |

QUOTE(albnok @ Feb 24 2010, 10:29 AM) Thanks for the comment albnok. When I look at the photo, I felt few things were not right... but cannot point the problem. Now that you've mentioned the OOF, yes... that hit me. I think I had difficulty in the auto focusing dept. Not sure if it would help me if I had used the MF.... Also, as the ambient light was not enough, I had to use the built in flash to light up a bit IIRC. QUOTE(cjlai @ Feb 24 2010, 10:45 AM) waah!!! soo sharp one cj. Pls share how you manage to get that sharp shots... did you use a flash? CPL filter? |

cjlai: Again, got cropped at the bottom LOL. Wah I like the bracket!
Banzai_san: The Pentax O-ME53 fits well on any Alpha (same eyepiece mount). I had one for my A700 but sold it to fund for the A900 (which has such a big viewfinder, it doesn't need it anyway.) yfchin2: The Minolta 35-105mm F3.5-4.5 Original has a maximum magnification of 1:4x which is the same as your kit lens. You will not gain any more macro capability than your kit lens! Also, avoid the Minolta 35-105mm F3.5-4.5 RS - I had one before, it always seemed to be weak on resolution even stopped down. If you want some real macro kit lens capability, there's the Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC Macro 1:2.3x and the Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC Macro 1:2.7x OS HSM (less macro capability, but adds HSM and Optical Stabilizer, and costs more.) |
