Hi Ngto, furhter from Eugene explanation, pls read below:
As Larry has mentioned, ThumbGen is an application that creates content rich images and has to be stored under the same folder with the movie so that our firmware can display and work with it.
So for a movie titled for example “Spiderman”, can be stored within a folder like the following,
• Spiderman (FOLDER)
- Spiderman.mkv (VIDEO)
- folder.jpg (Coverart generated by ThumbGen)
- 0001.jpg (Movie sheet generated by ThumbGen)
And at the moment, ThumbGen can only work with movies in individual folders so you need to create a folder for each movie you have in the HDD.
Basically ThumbGen is just to create nice images to work with our Playon!HD firmware.
It is different with YAMJ, in the sense that YAMJ can be use to categorise and sort the Jukebox as Movies, TV Series, Genre, Title, Rating, Year, etc and display in a thumbnail fashion for selection.
Although YAMJ images are not as pretty as those generated by ThumbGen, it works differently but function nicely as a Movie Jukebox.
Please feel free to check back if you have more queries.
