hi, im planning to get a used set at switzerland. 1st, i would like to know why all console in malaysia are stating at huge memory spaces like 160, 250, 320 but does that i saw in swiss forum are 20 40 60 80 which are far inferior O.O whats the diff? are they older model?

generally what they offer is the older model, and it is not the ps3 slim

its not memory space, just refer to storage capacity like hdd....

it is better to buy brand new set, heck its cheaper than in Europe for new ones with similar spec.

i would advice u to get ps3 slim model 21xx (120/250gb) or 25xx (160/320gb)...

yep..better get PS3 Slim..Used or new it's depend to u'r budget. But i prefer to get a new unit or used but with warranty (at least 2-3 months)

we all know that Phat version got very high risk of LYOD. so why do we need to bare the risk?

Hi I am planning to get a PS3 Slim from the US but have some questions..

1) Will it work in Malaysia voltage?
2) Can I play games/blu-ray/accessories bought in Malaysia on it?

hey guys, is there any precaution i should take when buying a new ps3?especially it's cheaper?
how to check if the ps3 set the seller has for me is brand new and unopen?or he didn't swap the ps3 inside with a used/faulty ones or swap the ds3?

simple. after exchnage of dough, watch carefully when he takes the ps3 out of the box. there is a seal that he needs to break. that seal is hard to reproduce. is the same procedure with handphones, if u ever bought one.

so as long there's a seal he breaks,its new? What do you mean hard to reproduce anyway,you mean once he opens it,cant stick bck or smth? And the seal's located at the place the box is opened?

or ur safest bet, buy the new slim with 160 or 320 hdd,
if still scare, buy the classic white 160..
only out for a few months, should be new enough to avoid used or faulty set
