might be cable loose.. simple problems sometimes.

there wont be any charge or repair fee if your s3 is under warranty.
just ask the vendor if he is able to fix it without wiping your hard-disc

i think the Game OS files got corrupted or unable to load properly

once u get into recovery mode

do 1st Restore File System (Checks for corrupt/missing system files.)

if still fails, then do Rebuild Database (Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3.)

if its firmware,
your problem now is cant even see text or menu,
how are you going to update to the latest ver.

Happened to me before.
Turned on the PS3, can see background wave but the menu wont show up.
Restart the PS3 a lot times, if lucky, the menu will show up.

It seemed the culprit was my faulty 500gb hdd.
Change back to the stock 80gb.
My PS3 returned to normal.

I mean your problem could be hard disk drive problem.

Did you upgrade your hard disk to higher capacity?

Most likely the firmware files on the HDD got corrupted. Follow shahreza's advice to see if it fixes your problem.

just pay, get code and enter when you're logged into your account and done!

local credit cards do not work on US psn anymore unless you are a resident of the United States of America with a US credit card.

Yes, im using 2 DS3 and 2 DS2 with convertor. Normally i play Little Big Planet 4 player............very fun...........convertor im using Carrefour brand that bought at Carrefour for RM19.90 each...........
