Whats with the leader issue?I believe in Fabregas to be the best captain for this season and many more to come.

As you can see Fabregas did not rest for any games for quite sometime already. After being hush and treatly harshly by Porto he returns to play against Sunderland expecting the same treatment. He did not return those opponent players any similiar treatment but just take it like any football game.

Now stoke city next another aerial and physical team.

Chinese New Year mood stays until 28 Feb (15th of Tiger Year Calender)

I have no problem having a young captain.

Of course, the older ones may not like it but it's all depends on their professionalism wink.gif I am sure AW will not hesitate to drop any players who could not work together well with the team.

If you guys noticed...most of Wenger's acquisitions are captain somewhat in their respective squad (under 16/19/21 etc)...yeah, captaincy is a non-issue now... Porto? hmmm tough call....let's see

I'd love to see Campbell get another run in the team for this weekend. However, if Gallas is back, that's even better news.

Diaby could be out still. there's no news yet as to the extend of his injury.

Hopefully Ramsey will get the start again ahead of Denilson.

The thing is... Do we have leaders in our team now? Just looking at our team sheet, Fabregas is the best we have on the basis of his talent. Vermaelen is one to lookout for with his no-nonsense approach but other than that, I think we're pretty stretched in this department.
*
Robin van Persie. He's senior enough, fairly vocal, bleeds Arsenal, and never stops running even when things aren't going our way. Too bad he is often off the pitch due to injuries than on it.

we got so many talented players but we can only field 11 players at a time.
i think our youth systm is all wrong...fab is only 22 years old..and he is considered the most senior of our players...and there are so many other young players behind him lining up to play...when will those youngster get to play??? the likes of JET(19 soon to be 20), lansbury(19 soon be 20), gibbs)20 soon 21),merida(19 soon to be 20), freeman(soon to be 18) ...just to name a few..but there are more...they are all brilliant...but how long they need to wait...fab is only 22..if he play for us until 30(hope so)...merida who is suppose to be replacing him will be 28...no player will wait that long to play in the 1st team...do you blame merida for wanting to leave us??so there is a problem in our system...we need to fix it...
*
QUOTE(super messi @ Feb 20 2010, 10:04 PM)
good point there bro...but kinda sad seeing some of those players go...merida is very good player actually but he didnt have the chance to prove himself...i hope the likes of lansbury and JET make it through....they have so much potential... seems that we are breeding more english players now...that good...

If you're good enough you get to play....if not then too bad. Life is not suppose to be fair. Nationality has no meaning in club football. English or no English, as long as they are good.
Do Wenger just stop buying younger players altogether now? Or just stop anyone from the age of 16 - 20 joining the club now, cos those <16 will be ready when the current ones hit 30 years old.

So what if we lose to bigger teams? That does not define the season. Both Chelsea and United have dropped more points to smaller teams this season than Arsenal have. At the end of the day, I rather win the league than be contend by beating Chelsea or United. I've said it all along, there are 20 teams in the league. Taking away the top 4, there's maximum 96 points left on the table. Tell me that's not good enough to win any season. A league winning run is based on consistency to maintain a high level of performance week in week out. Sure, the loss to the top 2 hurts but it's those draws and losses against smaller teams that have hurt us the most in the past.

+1 bro... i go one up for u. Those players who's not patience, just point their fingers to some of those who left because "they think they're good enough for 1st team football"... i.e Bentley and le sulk. in case of Le Sulk, it took him quite a number of years before he landed in Chelsea and now playing alongside Drogba. Bentley has been in and out of favor wherever he goes.

BTW, Barca also got lots of promising youth academy. That doesn't stop them from buying or recruiting more rite?

this is where the business side of the club steps in. rclxub.gif

side topic. Can anyone tell me what's the best website with the most complete match statistics? Like those in Championship Manager or Football Manager (i.e. complete pass, headers won, tackles won)?
