Walcott is still young. I'll prefer him any time of the day than Lennon. He's improving. Having the no. 14 shirt is not an easy task for any teenager, I'm sure he'll be superb not just for Arsenal but for England in future. May be and just may be, he'l blossom at the end of the season.

QUOTE(Casanova88 @ Feb 15 2010, 02:22 PM) Huhu... Just because he scored against Liverpool doesn't mean he is good/key player. He's no Viera, but he's getting the job done. He's been decent, and still learning. Coming back from that injury would not be easy for any youngster. He has overcome it. He still not effective against teams like MU & Chelsea. Don't think you've observed him enough, may be your judgement is disillusioned by just one two games which we've lost. Beside Fabregas and Song, i'll rate him 3rd best midfielder in our squad. |

QUOTE(sakaito @ Feb 18 2010, 09:48 AM) yep... walcott too. haih.. so many things wrong yet we're still in it with the away goal. a 2-0 in at Emirates will be good enough and i think we can. 1-0 would be good enough. We have the away goal. but seriously, Denilson... what happened? Fabianski Never really rate Denilson. I think he's just a flop. Really thought Vito was so much better GK than Fabianski despite his age. |

QUOTE(sakaito @ Feb 20 2010, 12:44 PM) yeap... lots of our players are still below 24 and still learning to cope with big games. for sunderland game, i'd like to see Nasri on a more deep role, playing alongside Song box-to-box. i think he'll do well and he played there a couple of times and did good. WTH ? lineup for this weekend? -manny- Sagna-Sol-Vermy-Clichy Song-Nasri -Cesc- Bendtner-Vela-Rosicky i do hope Vela will start. Why i put NB52 at right wing? he's the most effective coming in from the right side. as the game goes on, he can interchange with rosicky and vela and play a more central role. Sunderland have a good pair of CB. also, we have to watch out for Jones and Bent up front. I just hope Clichy and Sagna will stand their ground and do not venture forward too much. Jones is somewhat like Drogba. He can turn on the heat at any time. Bent is just like Rooney, very good positioning sense and killer finishing. Come on u gunners!!! Fabianski Sagna- Cambell- Vermaelen- Clichy Denilson-Song- Fab4 Nasri-Bendtner-Rosicky. Fabianski will start imo. Noob Bendtner should get his big week finally. Hope he doesn't throw away all the chances. Walcott might be trying to push in in the wings as well. |

Despite the win, i think we were pretty lucky. Silvestre defines SHIT.
Song was superb. Almunia did a decent job. MOTM goes to Eboue. Don't think anybody else has the mentality to win besides Eboue. i don't really remember any other player which did well except for this two. and yeah, we are back in the title race. QUOTE(vivi99 @ Feb 21 2010, 01:30 AM) Nasri was superb I'm not sure whether we were watching the same game or not, i think he had a pretty bad game. When Rosicky came in, it was sigh of relieve.he makes his substitutes(rosicky) looks worst! anyway motm surely goes to eboue, his runs, dribble and pass was superb i think Wenger shud convert him a full time winger. Walcott, a striker wannabe, but can't even shoot? maybe his mentor ( henry ) did not pass him all the recipes yet..haha |

I can't help myself noticing that some of the fans are condemning Theo. Despite the poor crosses, his movement was fantastic. I thought he did pretty good, well better than Nasri. Nasri, besides his fancy footwork and that shot, i think he had rather a quiet game.
Walcott is still young, and i think he's improving pretty well. Give him time, and he'll flourish. He has bags of potential. He'l be one of the best in seasons to come. One of you pointed out that Bendtner has to sharpen his finishing. He's a good player, all he needs is a little more confident and composure. He needs more game, and he'll start banging goals. Silvestre was dreadful, slow, and being outclassed physically as well. He's just utter rubbish in the 1st eleven. I think Sol was so much better than him, and hope He'll be restored. It was one of those days is either we win it, or loose it. Luck may have played a lil here when Bent and Jones miss those opportunities. |
