Well...
1. MOTM = referee 2. We are still naive 3. We can't cross and finish (what's the use to beat opponent fullback when you could not cross probably) 4. Porto should play in EPL |

^^!* la Wenger and the board, 1000000x times fans tell you to buy new striker. Campbell perform good. 2nd goal is stupid, the ref put the ball without blow whistle and suddenly.. no shoot in 2nd half wHY WTF?

we could've won if not for the ridiculous errors made by the team, the goals by Porto could be saved.

QUOTE(vcxv @ Feb 18 2010, 05:39 AM) hiyaaaa.. again.. fabregas performance has gone down these last few games. True, Fabregas' performance has dipped recently but today's match is not totally his fault. He has been clearly targeted. We should be thankful that he didn't get himself a yellow.i hope next time eboue got to start.. The same goes to Clichy. I think he's struggling and his confidence has gone down too while trying to defend. |

Collectively we have the worst bunch of goalkeepers in the Champions League and possibly even in the BPL IMO. Simply not good enough.
Arsene simply has to buy a new No.1 in the summer otherwise its curtains again before the season starts. Its not that I'm being pessimistic about our goalkeepers' ability but sometimes we just have to face up to the reality that certain players are just not good enough. Nasri and Denilson again with virtually zero contribution. Seriously this same squad will most likely struggle again against Sunderland this weekend. No cutting edge up front no nothing. Pray hard the likes of Song and Arshavin recovers in time. The only shining light tonight was Sol's performance. Really turning back the clock. I doubt Gallas could have done any better than what Sol did tonight. |

Disappointed in Denilson and Walcott.
But something fishy is going on, Arsene doesn't react when Porto scored the first goal and his |

Both of goals conceded because Fabianski lack of experience. He forgot about the rule? And he must thought Falcao goal disallowed, i can see he confused.

My god, one word for this performance, utter disgrace to the Arsenal badge, shirt and club.
What I don't like is how the players play, they pass around and run around like they treating this as an exhibition or something, like they already guaranteed a place in the next round or going to win big during the home leg Anyway, on the plus side, Campbell is my Arsenal MOTM, it been a long long long time since I see an Arsenal defender that I have confident in, Campbell is the major reason we haven't conceded more, the Porto player that he is marking is totally silent out. And the negative side, what the hell is Fabianski doing in tht match? If he always perform like that, I rather let Mannone play than him. Come on, most of his mistake is like among the worse mistake a goalkeeper can make. |

final score
Porto (read : Lukasz Fabianzki) 2 - 1 Arsenal as a whole, that was an awful performances from the whole team bar Bakary who i thought was excellent and Sol who IMO proving to be a more than able cover for the central defensive area |

As long Campbell is in the 2nd leg, and Fabiski is out, it should be safe at the back I guess, what worry me is the front.
I totally don't know what happen to all our attacking players lately, utter disgrace to Arsenal, they either pass the ball endlessly among themselves or pass it into the opponent. Seriously, I know the team can do way way better than this, but don't know why they play like little children. Do we need to drop out from the UCL to give them a wake up call? Something seriously wrong with the team. we have players that not only have potential to perform but actually we have a team that SHOULD perform their best in all matches. Lack of experience cant be use as a reason anymore, other than Fabianski, the rest are experience players, player like Denilson, Diaby and the rest have actually play week in week out for the Arsenal first team for some seasons already. i am pretty sure that we will do the job at the Emirates, what's more with all the regular guys coming back (yes Manny, that's including you). but this goalkeeper position had been costing us matches especially the more important matches for over 2 years now. surely we need to do something to address this
i'm not even sure if this is just the heat of the moment kind of thing, but if nothing was done to address this goalkeeper issue next season i am going to start having my doubts over Arsene. there, i've said it |

Honestly for the past few season, whenever an opponent attack, it always give me a heart attack seeing how our defender defended, a lot of last ditch defending This post has been edited by jim18992: Feb 18 2010, 06:03 AM |

Another reason is because it hard to find a good goalkeeper, most good goalkeeper that I know of and like are in the status of NOT FOR SALE by their respective club, unless AW willing to pay like 15m for goalkeeper like Given or that bold guy who last time play for Blackburn, which I seriously doubt AW will do. To get goalkeeper like Buffon or Cech standard would need more than 20m.i'm not even sure if this is just the heat of the moment kind of thing, but if nothing was done to address this goalkeeper issue next season i am going to start having my doubts over Arsene. there, i've said it |
