QUOTE(twtang @ Mar 14 2010, 11:48 PM) oh no... i miss the shiftronic... QUOTE(izputra @ Mar 14 2010, 11:52 PM) u just sold your old car..if u sold your old car on early December last year as what i did & u didn't have a car to move around (& to fetch your child everyday whether in rain or sunny day), u will self-learned on how desperate i was & perhaps many others too. all of this causes by a false hope & promise given by NazaKia's SA that i will get my car by January. If i was been told earlier that my car will be delivered on March, i might sell my previous car on Feb or perhaps this month..sighh hehehe... u don't have 'kancil' as a backup...?ok la... at least u can sell with higher price... mine lost about rm1k extra... if not coz of the bank rate up, i would like to keep it until my car arrive... i'm afraid people will use above reason to lowering my avanza price coz need to pay higher monthly installments... this friday i need to use kancil to fetch my wife + kid from LCCT... anyone can lend me their forte? if can lend, i'll lend my 2.0 for a day for him also as a 'barter' trade... |

QUOTE(Blinque @ Mar 14 2010, 10:49 PM) hi bros, I have a question (hopefully you all don't think it's a stupid question) You can use anything that's RON91 or above. can the Forte 2.0 run on our RM1.80/litre Ron 95 petrol? and if can, is it advisable or should use the Ron 97? thanks! QUOTE(limeuu @ Mar 14 2010, 11:17 PM) as for any korean car, expect depreciation to be significantly more than the popular japs like t and h..........selling after 5 years will mean a significant drop......possibly up to 2/3 of cost price (you cannot factor in the borrowing cost)..........i had a sportage bought in 2000, and when sold 6 years later, only got 33% of the cosy price........ No one expects the EX to sell as well as the SX because the higher spec version is a much better package. for certain models of kia cars, it is even worse......eg, a carnival bought at the full price of 170k immediately lost 40% of it's value when it became nazarised and sold for 100k..........came happened for the spectra.........and currently, the citra/carens......... so you should expect the double whammy of korean depreciation, and the naza tendency to devalue their cars by not holding their selling price.......... if the 'upgrade' of the ex is true, for the same price, it shows naza has NOT learn, they are still undercutting their own clients by devaluing their cars that are not selling well..........yes, the ex is not selling well......... As for the depreciation of Korean cars, it is undeniable that older Koreans are fairly worthless in the 2nd hand market. However 2nd hand value is determined by the market demand. This might not be the best example, but in Australia the i30's 3 year resale % is the same as other Jap rivals in the same segment.... pretty unusual for Korean marques. Can't say the same for the Forte... a 1 year old Forte is only worth half its price whereas a VTi Civic can pretty much fetch 70%. You lose approx AUD3000 more for selling a Forte after one year, but you've already paid an extra 3000 for the Civic when you bought the brand new one (albeit with much less features); so it pretty much balances out. What you lose is the extra money paid for loan installments for the Civic due to its higher selling price. Naza on the other hand used to kill Kias by Nazafying them; yet in the case of the Forte they Nazafied them straight away to avoid the same mistakes. For all the horrible stuff that Naza did, the good thing is that they provide an opportunity to purchase foreign cars at a cheap price, like the 407 and 308. QUOTE(twtang @ Mar 14 2010, 11:48 PM) The Avante is reaching the end of its life cycle. Not a bad car, but the Forte is still a better choice if you're willing to wait for the 2.0. |

QUOTE(christ_liew @ Mar 15 2010, 02:13 PM) Just survey around for the windscreen tinted, Aircool now is having promotion.. Depend on what you are looking for. Have you checked whether it is 88% TSER or 88% IRR? There will be a huge different.RM630 for whole car, 88% Heat reduction. It is worth? If you really want heat reduction, look for TSER above 50%. For TSER>80%, I think it will cost you a fortune (more than 2k) Due to the insecurity in M'sia, better opt for security films for side windows. Check saimatkong's blog: http://blog.saimatkong.com/index.php/2010/...cotint-aircool/ He had given a thorough good explanation. To get a better quality tinting with 4mil security film for side windows, it will normally cost more than RM1000. I bought mine for RM1600, V-Kool Elite 70 (94% IRR) for front and back and 4mil Armor coat security films (70% IRR) for side windows. I think I was being duped (he said it is the cheapest among all the v-kool dealers)... Check out "Raytech" tint shop also in Serdang..If you happen to live in KL/Selangor. They offer 5mil security films for side windows and >80% IRR for front and back. It's about RM1450++... If you want to stick to the budget below RM1000, be prepare when you go to the tint shop...They will always duped you to opt for the more expensive one... QUOTE(Ryeeson @ Mar 15 2010, 04:21 PM) People keep asking the same questionRule of thumb, 1/3 of your basic salary should not be less than the sum of your housing loan and car loan payments for fast approval... This post has been edited by vincentteng: Mar 15 2010, 05:37 PM |
