I've been searching around and I found this on Wiki. linkKia Forte
They mention there is 5-Speed Auto Transmission(AT) while in Malaysian version Forte just only have 4-Speed AT. The 5-Speed AT should be more fuel friendly than the 4Speed AT. My question is: 1. Can we have them(Naza) installed the 5-Speed AT? 2. If no, can we change it or do something to get the 5-Speed AT? |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Feb 10 2010, 12:17 PM) Anyway, just went to the petrol station this afternoon. 39.6L for the past week, total distance 360L; which equates to an appalling 11L/100km and it's mainly highway driving. I don't think the 2.0 is that thirsty, but possible reasons for the high FC: 1. We have RON91 here instead of the better quality RON95 available in Malaysia. 2. I've been quite naughty with the accelerator - overtaking at 120km/h frequently and being aggressive with the shift-tronic. Let's see how the FC is like for next week, where I'll attempt a more gentle approach. |

QUOTE(VeeJay @ Feb 11 2010, 04:57 PM) This is not bad for a start! The mileage will get better as you put in more miles on your Forte. Thats normal for any new car...it needs burn-in 2000km now... but as mentioned those readings might be a miscalculation. Going to recalculate FC this week. QUOTE(yhlee12 @ Feb 11 2010, 04:11 PM) 8L/100km is pretty close to the manufacturer's claim of 7.9, although I am pretty much doing 90% highway which should technically yield a lower FC. I'm not complaining though, since in real life no one ever gets the numbers released by the carmakers. |

it sounds like nobody has yet been assigned a 2l.............??
so the problem with the 2l remains unresolved, although the it looks like the ckd/cbu issue for the 1.6 is resolved............ |

I m not sure whether K1 issue has been settle, however it should be settle before registration. One thing for sure is that the cars do not need puspacom inspection which will save a lot of time.
If all document in order, car registration can be very fast, just take 1-2 hours. I don't think the BM try to lie to me. In fact, he has been quite helpful. |
