That's some scary shit man. Does that mean our BLMs cannot be driven over long distance in the rain?  sweat.gif

don't over worry, it seldom happen, even raining only few drops will go inside the engine bay, on top the block also got the plastic cover to protect it, a splash of water? unless u open ur hood while u driving.

Well, I was wondering, if I had driven the car heavily and there turned out to be a puddle of water or something on the road, splash ..... ouch ....

always avoid puddle of water if u can..if cold water directly splashed to a hot engine, like from flood, puddle of water or even from Car wash...a small crack might start..you might google for engine overheat also..this could be one more reason

but im sure it wont easily crack...just take precautions...

another case if water get sucked into the engine, thru intake, u need to overhaul wink.gif

Besides, what you're reading here, is a compilation of all those problems. They're not all that common. Just that some happen to get hit by it.

For manual blm, I find it hard to control at first gear, just today my engine mati 3 times on the trafficlight road lols. when releasing the clutch , do we have to press the gas ? sometimes i just release my clutch slowly w/o pumpin gas pedal and the car will move forwards already, somehow feel like driving an auto car . sometimes when i release clutch then only i pump gas engine mati sometimes didnt happen.

shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear at 30km . and the rpm meter was shwing at 3.5k . ~_~

and engine wasnt that quiet on the first day that i received my car. at 70km already roaring like mad le maybe becos of the engine oil ? mine is fully syn .

anyone here installed CoolMax seat cover onto their seat? Im kinda interested to install it since the BLM's seat fabric is kinda not so nice and very easy to get stained. Anyone?

i think BLM's fabric is quite good if you compare to cars like honda city (the new city). City's seat color is same as blm, black/dark coloured but BLM doesnt get as dusty as city's seat even.

It depends on your luck. Some people's BLM are problematic while others are not. Hit and miss QC.

There are problematic BMWs as well *cough* 3 Series E46 *cough*

Some of the aforementioned problems have been ironed out in the newer BLM models so don't worry too much la.

Shift gear refer to RPM, not speed, since different car with different gear ratio. Our BLM got short ratio, thats why low speed high RPM. Shift at nearly 3k is enuf unless u want to overtake.

Control ur left and right foot, get use to it is a only way to avoid engine stall.

ntg to do with warranty la bro..dun always hang the warranty term when u plan to upgrade to something good.jerk on 1st gear don really relate with the spark plugs.if related, then every gear shift will jerk, even normal drive on the road will jerk as well.
