QUOTE(unlimited tong @ Feb 28 2010, 10:28 PM) nope. saga blm auto or manual not really fuel save. if you really looking for fuel saving car, look for perodua viva instead..but if you're looking for an overall all round value buy car, go for saga blm. |
@HughieRmX@ is it a deep scratch that affect the paint as well or just a black mark? you can try polishing using soft 99 polisher. it works fine on minor scratch and paint mark. Both type of marks also available after thorough checking .. Hmm,alright will give it a try to get it from Jusco Departmental stores. I think I say it before .. Metal Square Can with a sponge if I am not wrong. Thanks ..
u can try meguairs scratchx if its not that deep..works very well but u have to rub it quite hard couple of times to get it off. if after couple of times it doesnt work, means u need to repaint that portion with touch up paint. |

QUOTE(fuzzy @ Mar 12 2010, 07:04 PM) Guys, wanna ask you something. since guy A won the car, wont the car be in his name first? u should check is it the car is under his name yet or not..if not under his name or anyone's name, then good..by right if not mistaken you should be able to apply normal car loan. normal car loan is just nothing special, is just the money is give to him instead of a company..i think this can be done..maybe u should go to bank and ask about this as this kind of case is quite rare..the bank would then in turn pay the full amount of what you borrowed to the owner and you will have to pay monthly installment like a normal car loan..I'm looking to buy a Saga, found one from a forumer who won it in a competition, so he's selling it cheaper than the market price. He wants to sell it directly, so I will be technically be the first owner of the car, since that will protect the resell value. But my concern is, how would I get a loan for it? Can I get a car loan and pay it to a person? Or do the loan pays to a car dealer? Because it does not make sense to pay the dealer as the car is already paid for.. but.. I do not think they will pay it to a person that do not own the car. I can apply for a personal loan, but I think the interest rate is higher and might end up paying more. So, please advise. To reiterate: 1. Guy A won a car 2. Guy A wanna sell car as new 3. Guy A will put buyer's name as first owner 4. Guy B wanna buy car 5. Guy B not sure if he can get loan because it is not paid to a car dealer, but Guy A who technically do not own the car as yet. |

QUOTE(nyencheong @ Mar 21 2010, 12:31 AM) 1 hour each car. totally agree..i drove myvi 1.0 (i know, 1.3 got more power) but i its acceleration initially is much faster than saga 1.3 no kidding but after saga kicks in to 3rd gear onwards, very good...myvi cannot push much but saga u can really push it kao kao. only downside is FC quite high even for manual sagaAdded on March 21, 2010, 12:33 am Probably they will ask u to make car alignment and balancing, while for me, i suggest u guys go to professional tyre shop, simply they more experience and fast. Added on March 21, 2010, 1:02 amhey guys, another Saga SE, White Auto owner, i got my car last year mid oct, yet so many unfortunate things happened to me, I made booking right after SE launch for a week, wait about 5 weeks. After got my car for 3 days, accident on federal highway hit myvi back, change bonet, n repaint my front bumper,T_T. In January 2010, after i tint my car, a lorry 'fly' a stone to my windscreen, and it crack after 2 days, about a week, only realise when the crack grow for 1 foot T_Tx2, last month, my driver side power windows fail to operate after i fully open it, its on my way back home at about 7pm, OMG, all Proton Service Center were close, since i stay in apartment, no guard, no car park (open area), no choice hv to take down the cover n fix myself, luckily my fren told me accessories shop can temporaly fix it, so fix it before i drove to Proton SC Now is month number 6th, and already close to 10,000km and yet the best FC i made is 380km for RM60 (RON 97), its very bad compare to its rival. High FC means more power, I drove my fren's myvi, personal opinion, less power compare to Saga, Saga begining accerelation may be slower than Myvi, but after 2200rpm.........woohooo.....Besides, I personally think the Saga SE got a very good agility and control, very stable on highway, AC extremely cold even under hot sun, big boot, confortable leather seats, and good looking. Its rival SE got bluetooth, ABS, +2 power windows & extra small small stuff but with RM11,000 difference, I think it can be compensated..... "I LOVE SAGA SE" |

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Mar 26 2010, 05:09 PM) billy520 siuyi upgrade stroke kit means how exactly? basically upgrade hp to 1.6? any extra out of 2k needed? like maintenance cost more etc? i would think about it if 2k is not that expensive if can upgrade hp to 1.6 engine...handling turbo or supercharge is not easy.regarding budget, u still needa count into the brake system, gear box..lotsa lotsa issue.if u wanna cut down the hassle, just upgrade the stroke kit to 1.6 persona's.rm2k settle. |

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Mar 27 2010, 12:15 AM) yngwie i see, that's interesting but of course this would void warranty right since touching on engine side ?i double checked with my mech, campro can sustain supercharge, but not turbo.regarding gear box, stil applicable for the oem gearbox. CyberKewl it's like changing into a bigger rim.does changing bigger rims need maintenance for the wheels?basically, ur just driving the saga S16 / taxi BLM. |

QUOTE(yngwie @ Mar 27 2010, 09:26 AM) xshiro@ i see..understoodso far, highest boost the campro can take with some extensive mods is 0.5 - 0.7 bar(too much cost around 11k. SiuYi@ yeah. the oem gearbox is actually quite tough and it has no problem handling the additional increase in hp. the reason for the cog change is for the the gear box ratio tuned / program to match the increase in torque projected on different rpm. CyberKewl@ any tampering to the engine; bot, supercharge, port and polish top will void the warranty. btw, modding after 15k mileage will be better due to engine already fully run in |

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Mar 27 2010, 01:00 PM) CyberKewl SiuYi..i see..well i'll be saving up for this then..can I expect same performance as 1.6 blm? if yes then its worth it.who know if u change the stroker kit only?they open and measure?even if ur engine kong, they see around like normal, just get claim nia la..the thing is inside, and the length is not so big difference.no big deal.u can cover their eyes up properly. yngwie however, we canot use back the rpm setting for persona for our ride if we plan to make our car faster.the current 1.3 setting is just fine.i doubt our ecu will change itself to fit the new setting or not..better not. oh btw, BOT and Supercharge wont void ur engine la..i triple checked with my mech. it's just add-on item, not changing the engine structure. |

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Mar 27 2010, 01:39 PM) CyberKewl cool..for 1.6 stroker kit will FC be better than 1.3? Cos 1.3 FC not so good even for manual..expected far better as the 1.6 BLM is using the RPM ratio of a persona.if u retain 1.3 BLM's RPM ratio, the pickup will be slightly faster than and RPM will be higher than the 1.6 BLM. yngwie my mech do not wanna entertain any BOT on BLM's campro, he insist our ride can only manage to cope with supercharge. Turbo or watsoever, he say NO. so if supercharge, no additional stuff needed to back it up..our oem ecu will tune for us automatically. siuyi's rules: when it comes to performance, we are not talking about how much we gonna spend for it, and the FC going high. as a manner of fact, if ur ride is fast, u spend less time on the road, theoretically, u save time and fuel on the road and reach ur destination earlier. spend less time on road = spend less fuel on road. |

QUOTE(isone @ Apr 2 2010, 02:49 PM) Hi guys, just want to share something. did you follow any guide b4 apply or u just paint it normally? In case our beloved BLM got scratched on the body paint, we can use touch-up paint which can be find in carefour - come with exactly same colour with our Saga body. For my case,my Saga SE got some scatched on the front bumper. applied it using water colour brush and now looks fine (need to applied clear coating later for better finishing). |
