QUOTE(fahmisarkawi @ Feb 8 2010, 09:01 PM) Update info from a reliable source, Ya, it has been mentioned earlier that the so called Waja-replacement (as a more easier naming sake) is a segment between the current Waja and Perdana. I am kinda hoping that Proton would just discontinue Waja and Perdana and instead merge both to this new segment replacement linr. Too much cars will only confuse buyers. Since this Lancer rebadge's size is just right between both Waja and Perdana considering Japan even placed the Lancer as Galant. The current lancer will not be a Waja replacement model but a whole different lineup. Its a model between Waja and Perdana. The car will have 1.8 and 2.0 engine from Mitsu. From my estimates, the price will start at 70k - 90k. The first batch is a direct cbu from Japan with only minor changes to the bumpers and badge as localisation of parts will roughly take 1 year. Will be out by July 2010. So to any of you guys who want a cheaper lancer, buy the first batch. This car is only for the Malaysian market. Also look out for the Geneva motor show. Its gonna be big from Proton. The rest of the juicy details are confidential...... |

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Feb 8 2010, 11:06 PM) Sheesh. well, its up to u to believe me or not ..Who also can say reliable source lah... I can also say my "reliable" source said that the WRM will be powered by a CamPro CPS Turbocharged. And will only be CBU units. Proton are my clients and we are working something out with them .. but Im not able to disclose any details at all .. P & C .. later my company kena sue 9 9 .. All i can says is the source comes from quite BIG ppl within Proton. zipped ..... if you guys view from a manufacturer point of view, especially Mitsubishi, its a better idea to work with proton instead of selling the lancer themselves. They are shipping the car over from Japan, They need to pay tax. And yet the number of car sells is slow movement compare to proton selling them. As for the agreement between them and Proton, Proton will normally deal how many volume with mitsu @ if they order 10k units of parts and proton not able to sell them, proton makan sendiri la.. But in our user prospective, buying a CBU car definately can give us more promising in the quality build. |

sorry dude,
I can't law is law .. company did sign a P&C agreement with them, we cant ulter anything out. This one generally is spoken by their head of department. Everyone also know that the contest of naming the Proton sedan, its just a matter of time before its released (within this year). I dunno about if its a complete CBU unit or not, as i didnt see any of the prototypes around in their plants yet. Cheers |

kenny, which quarter can we expect to see some news rolling out. We know you can't disclose much but pre-release date is sufficient for buyers to rethink their choice of cars.

Actually im not quite interested on the lancer waja as my boss was talking to their head that time i just simply ask a few question (smoking session lolz) .. I ask the variance , seems that it will be a 1.8 and 2.0 (GEMA engine). And i ask when roughly, he did says somewhere near end of year. so im suspecting its on Q4. And my last question was ... "ADA MANUAL TAK?" his answer was, the detail variance are not concluded yet. Then my next question change target d |

QUOTE(K3nnYkl82 @ Feb 9 2010, 10:22 PM) Export version?Nice.. But kept so long, dunno develop what kind of problems... Anyway, sorry for doubting your source, but for now, we'll just have to wait and see when the WajaLancer launches. But even before that, we need spyshots. |
