Sure or not. From what I know proton operates entirely using local products since the launch of waja. I doubt they would incorporate foreign cars and rebrand it local. If yes, it would be test units for replicating the tech.

BTW, Gema same as forte?

SURE ..
but im not sure about the CBU thing he says..
but its definately a rebranding only.

Got it from some reliable source too smile.gif

The only question i asked is ... "Do Proton produce a MANUAL version ? "
haha

Sheesh.

Who also can say reliable source lah...

I can also say my "reliable" source said that the WRM will be powered by a CamPro CPS Turbocharged. And will only be CBU units.

well, its up to u to believe me or not ..
Proton are my clients and we are working something out with them .. but Im not able to disclose any details at all .. P & C .. later my company kena sue 9 9 ..

All i can says is the source comes from quite BIG ppl within Proton.

zipped .....

if you guys view from a manufacturer point of view, especially Mitsubishi, its a better idea to work with proton instead of selling the lancer themselves. They are shipping the car over from Japan, They need to pay tax. And yet the number of car sells is slow movement compare to proton selling them. As for the agreement between them and Proton, Proton will normally deal how many volume with mitsu @ if they order 10k units of parts and proton not able to sell them, proton makan sendiri la.. But in our user prospective, buying a CBU car definately can give us more promising in the quality build.

sorry dude,
I can't law is law .. company did sign a P&C agreement with them, we cant ulter anything out. This one generally is spoken by their head of department. Everyone also know that the contest of naming the Proton sedan, its just a matter of time before its released (within this year).

I dunno about if its a complete CBU unit or not, as i didnt see any of the prototypes around in their plants yet.

Cheers smile.gif

kenny, which quarter can we expect to see some news rolling out. We know you can't disclose much but pre-release date is sufficient for buyers to rethink their choice of cars.

Actually im not quite interested on the lancer waja as my boss was talking to their head that time i just simply ask a few question (smoking session lolz) .. I ask the variance , seems that it will be a 1.8 and 2.0 (GEMA engine). And i ask when roughly, he did says somewhere near end of year. so im suspecting its on Q4. And my last question was ... "ADA MANUAL TAK?" his answer was, the detail variance are not concluded yet.

Then my next question change target d tongue.gif because i saw a bunch of like 20 Satria GTI there NEW! but seems left there for some time d. Apparently its LHD export version (Didnt see it myself at first because that area was fenced up and restricted to us. ) Wasted putting there .... ohmy.gif

True, but they didn't do that with the renault engine, right?same goes to perodua, they took the dvvt along.. haha...imagine, 4B10 CPS...sounds so wrong..haha biggrin.gif

CPS wont likely happens in GEMA engines.. They would need to redesign the head. (That would take up a lot of R&D cost) rather than just mount in the plain GEMA engines. I believe there are variance engines that are without the mivec depending on demands. Like xin says, they would probably remove it to lower the cost. Dun worry about ppl buying it or not. ITS MALAYSIA Dude! .. even campro a lot ppl (uncle aunty) says good. They says CAMPRO ma.. what so good ? dunno ... if they really put in GEMA engine without MIVEC, those Uncle Aunty will tell u .. mitsubishi ma!.. or maybe they will market it with the name GEMA ma... lolz
