It was considered a lucky shot because i have to go there twice only managed to take this shots. During the first trip these birds did not come close to our boat.

waggygee: i set the camera to long shutter speed (15 secs) with flash set to trigger towards the end of the shot. i stood stationary in one spot for a good 10 secs or so and moved closer to the camera just as the flash was triggered.

(sorry - don't know how to put it in a more technical term, lol).
