What's Picaday
Picaday's (This Thread) is created for you guys to share any interesting pictures that you snap daily and also for those who don't have a thread @ Photo Gallery due to any reason.

Picaday's Rules and Regulations
- No, Picaday is not a place for you to spam or increase your post count. Picaday's main objective is to encourage more people to post their pictures here and share knowledge among each other.
- Only post pictures taken by you using Digital Cameras be it from a Point-and-Shoot, Prosumers or DSLR. Pictures snapped by cameraphones are prohibited in Picaday.

Guys, below is 1 of my 1st few shot using DSLR (just get it today). Please give some comment on this. I know the chili behind it is very distracting, but other than that? I am not really happy with this shot, but not sure how to improve .....

Very nice set of colors, but I think the it would be much better if the whole figurine is focused.

Too under exposed, and too much bokeh. You want to show the whole chicken thing as your subject, not just the piece ma. If the background chilly is distracting, can always clone it off.

I think it's a charcoal burner.

AND, this calls for CLS for better lighting!

it's just charcoal.. and long shutter exposure.. hence effect!

The light trail from the burning charcoal can be your ambient light, for the light trails. But your background light is not bright enouhg. Having a flash or 2 will definitely lighten the mood up, not even CLS sometimes, just a bit of light painting.

ahh i see i see....

i wanted to focus more chicken, but seems can't, maybe due to lightning not good, and i am intimate to use higher ISO :S
