Increase ur shutter speed n appeture then u can get a sharper car. Ur subject is not sharp enough, but good concept. U wont able to get the Honda word sharp when u pan ur subject though.

Yeah the Honda word was a coincidence. Realised it in PP and thought it was a dime shot. It was raining so the cars weren't going very fast. I thought if my shutter speed too fast the background will be frozen as well? I was planning to pull it down to 1/20 the next time I try panning shots. Wrong concept? Was on shutter priority though so aperture was out of my control. Was on kit lens @ 55mm and the road was quite far (cropped a lot). Is the lack of sharpness of the car due to the ISO-640 (was on auto ISO though)?

Next time I do panning am gonna plan do ISO 200-400, 1/20, Tv mode. Any advices?

well....

1. if ur shutter too high (use Appeture priority) ur car will be freezed. Not recommended for panning. Too low shutter (below 1/60) will result on lack of subject sharpness.
2. Try use manual, start with 1/100 n f/10 n slowly bump up both depending on situations.
3. Auto ISO is recommended. Also dont forget to change to AF-C and put center metering.

thanks travis_ckf! All tips noted (literally). Gotta say panning is a lot easier with a DSLR than a PnS.

Do people usually take these photos with a polarizer? Unless there's something interesting u showing in the iris.. Think it might looks better without the reflections.

lol 20s exposure, that's why.
The effect of 30s is much crazier.
The ferris wheel was actually going pretty slow.

Movement / Hand Shake / Off Focus
Should put higher ISO and higher shutter speed.

The last time I went the bridge lights weren't switched on but the renovation was already done.
That was 2 weeks ago.
