uhm if i getting the laptop do u guys think i need to extend the warranty ?

khodin, it is really recommended to extend your warranty, and according to your budget as well. although there are not much of prob now, but later on maybe if there are prob, you can rest assure that your warranty covers it.

i dunno why, my phone is OK and there are not much of prob when connecting or disconnecting. I don't have Nokia suite, so i dunno if the Nokia suite is interfering.

You mean that extending the warranty now will be twice the price of extending the warranty when ordering my SXPS 16 for the same duration?

Hey needa ask some stuff about the XPS 16... Planning to get the i5-430M.. I heard that the laptop gets very hot even the power supply turns hot too... Is there such a thing?

Oh and btw whats the average waiting time after you guys order the laptop online? Does it goes cheaper during PC fair? Or will there be more freebies during PC fair as I know online doesnt give anything....

well, power supply turn a little bit hot but dont really need to worry about, it wont be too hot and u will not touch the power supply anyway. as for the laptop... thanks to the aluminium bottom casing, it helps to disperse the heat better but the con is u cant put it on ur lap or i scare u can't celebrate Father's day in the future(i think u should know what i mean). normally u only feel hot at touchpad there, palm rest just a bit warm. want to get freebies and discount? i believe calling the SA and bargain with him/her is more practical than waiting for PC fair

Oh can bargain with the SA wan ar?? Lol I thought such big company wont allow such thing.. Haha... Im concerned about the heat because one of my friends having the heat problem where the palm rest area gets quite hot and also the power supply.... But he has the older version of the xps....

So anyone know the average time to wait for the xps to arrive after ordering online?

i have to be honest, the air ventilation is not that good. in fact i find that my inspiron 1440 also have the similar design for air ventilation but i dont encounter serious overheating and the heat is no match for my previous laptop, Compaq presarioV3000. i waited 2 weeks for my unit to come
