I dunno why, now after a good night sleep. and different lighting, the leather part doesnt look that much of a pink, but more like darker pink.
later this day, I'll post up another batch of pics. for now, I must go to Muar, a family gathering. suppose I am not following, but my sister cancel last minute (just 30 mins ago) i must go. maybe the quality of my compact camera is not so good compared to Nikon D90 + Studio class lighting.... that is why my pics looks pinkish.... |

both my old Asus K50 and this new XPS is fingerprint magnet.
the flash of my compact really make the leather part look pink. and also, at night, with my stupid light(lampu kalimantang 6 years old) the bottom part look pink. lolz. under normal sunlight, it doesnt look that of a pink. I dont care, next time I go to public place, I will dress also like Günther. |

not all pink. most of them is red. sheesh...
I think what I do is maybe use a sticker or any other skin to cover up the pink part. the red hot will speak for themselves. |

QUOTE(Jeffrey1987 @ Feb 14 2010, 07:41 AM) Now currently I'm doing some partitioning. Gonna resize the partition accordingly, coz 1 big chunk is not what I like to see in my lappy.planned to also resize the recovery partition, coz it is using 15GB size, but actual usage is only around 5GB. so gonna shrink it to 8 GB, that means 3GB headroom for whatever reason dell wanna use it. I always have drive D that is larger than my C, coz my media files is quite large. QUOTE(miahahaha @ Feb 14 2010, 07:49 AM) Benchie wont be coming up soon, coz I dunno why, 3dmark06 wont start. the same installer can be use in my desktop 32bit ultimate, but this 64bit home premium wont start, files missing etc... maybe i should get the newer 3dmarkvantage.QUOTE(Jeffrey1987 @ Feb 14 2010, 07:51 AM) those were the real time unboxing pics. if you want, I can go to my office studio (after CNY) and do a mock full video unboxing. coz I dont have any camera stand.I'm still using the old acronis boot cd for all my partition creation, managing, resizing, copying, etc... still rules. hope dell doesnt have any stupid proprietary format for their hdd, or this will take up whole day.... |

it not a gaming laptop. if you want to gaming a lot, go for Alienware. Studio XPS is put under multimedia Laptop. I know it sounds weird but it is.
3 days worth of usage, I did notice the heat can rather get pretty annoying. My Asus K50 (which uses AMD) is far more cooler. Yes man. it is cooler. not the tech thingy(which you use software to check), but me as a user itself. The palm rest is hot really hot when gaming. but my asus palmrest remain cool in gaming, in fact cooler than my hand even. and if I do some browsing and chatting on the net, usually i would let my laptop rest onto my lap (hence the name laptop ) and the heat form this XPS is annoying.... the keyboard sometime gets hot too. under game. the K50 hot place is only at the top part (above the keyboard) and the bottom part. This XPS gets hot all over the place. This post has been edited by xKAIZERUx: Feb 15 2010, 10:24 AM |

for me the external speaker is better compared to my Asus K50, the obvious thing is this XPS got its own subwoofer, and i can certainly feel it.
