I didn't use realplayer, but maybe your realplayer still hold your webcam usage? try ending the realplayer process maually. usually webcam is tied to the application, so if one apps is still using it, the other app that want to utilise the webcam is denied access.

its easy, but a lot of steps to be taken. I dont use any alcohol, but I use just normal thinner, 'methil-something-i-dont-remember-the-name'. although metil is a group of alcohol right?

just a cotton swab and dip it into the thinner. before cleaning the surface with the alcohol, I just clean it with some tissue.

maybe you can search around for the complete instruction?

u use external speaker, so u balut also the speaker grill, nice!

if you are under warranty, completecare to be exact, you can even replace the laptop with other laptop is the problem persist, like the users of XPS 15 get either XPS16 or Alienware m15x. (according to the users of this forum)

i really like mine with 9 cell. haha. really depends on what you want to do anyway. and the best part is, if you dont have any notebook cooler like me, (and your office aircond is super cool) the 9 cell battery lift can make a difference.

even if the 'older' xps 1640 that uses the HD3650 can still be replaced to the current HD5730?

change the cmos battery. goto the bangla or any laptop repair shop, can change.
