Do they mate? If yes, then of course it's possible, because the gestation period is bout 15-17days..

of coz Kelvin.. I'll keep my promises.. and of coz i enjoy it.. seen Joey havin a wife.. and 1 more,if i got female joey,izzit "Joey" will mate with his own daughter? and if i got male joey,izzit he will mate with his own mama?

Of course they will, they are animal.. they don hv the idea of morality where shouldnt mate with their family... in their word, there is no 'wife' 'son' 'daughter' 'husband' and etc...

You are asking this ques, seem like not fully research bout glider breeding yet.. Make sure u read up more..

unlike parrot, penguin, hornbill and ..... that'll mate one partner only, most other animal will mate with many partners

thanks jtl... the other i went to petshack to buy some thgs for momo too... but wasnt sure which one is u... haha...

btw... just brought her back from Dr. Jenny... 31grams Dr Jenny say that she is heathly too... too young for nail trimming so just did deworming...

neway congrats to kelvin and thx to eric for the scanning and translating job! for the forumers info, myvet wil only close on public holidays and tues while weekdays it's open 11am-7pm, saturday from 11am to 6pm and sunday is from 11am to 3pm.

guys , how much will dr jenny charge to cure a self mutilation sugar glider? i do have money right now but its for other purpose. need to set up my budget first before visiting the vet. =(

Cure? There is no way to cure a self mutilating glider by medication.... unless you are putting it as treatment for a self mutilated glider.

It depends how bad the self mutilation is. If it is the tail and it is just a chew wound, an antibiotic and a cleaning of the would cost less than RM40, but if it requires amputation, steroids and injections, then it will be more.

okay , treatment then. tried google treatments for self mutilating gliders. some webs suggested putting on e-collars for a week. i wonder where can i get those. rolleyes.gif

Yes, u hv to seperate them.. U can do it as early as 2months oop..

it sound like overgrooming for me rather than self mutilation.. E collar u can just diy one itself.. pls google..

it happened after i fed her with HPW. maybe my HPW mixture too sticky for her until she over groom? anyway , gonna visit Dr jenny tomorrow , better safe than sorry. whats the landmark near her clinic eh smile.gif

why must seperate the babies from the parents after 2 months oop?
sugar glider are colony animals they like to stay in a group...only things is that more gliders means require more space hence need a bigger cage...in breeding should be prevented by neutering..if you are keeping the babies yourself i dont see why u should seperate unless u are selling them so u want them to get used to be alone away from it's parents
