QUOTE(jolenelarhhs @ Mar 22 2010, 08:17 AM) Thanks SCC (: Will do. this is your new cage rite?post picture of your new cage so we can see la...if she learn how to push the door up to open it then i guess u have to use the wire and twist it to lock it...or maybe she has another escape hole??if u put her in the cage does she try to come out...?Hey guys, mm.. Crislyn picked up a new skill o____o She'd be running about the curtains in the morning when her cage door is still locked ! She manage to come out ytd and today. Already locked the door by putting those hooks and making sure the hole isn't that big. Hopefully she wouldn't be able to break her way out tmr. Anyways, I took about 40mins to feed Crislyn 2 of her medicine. First one was hard. Trying to get her to stay still, she kept tugging her head in the fleece blanket [I use it to hold her] so she wouldn't expose her head. If her head is exposed, then she'd turn her head everywhere, away from the syringe. The second one, I tried the yogurt drop way again - applying the medicine on the yogurt drop. Owh.. and after that I saw her grooming her pouch area. So I used my finger to get in the way, hoping she wouldn't groom too much. oh so the's the one over grooming her pouch area..crislyn just doent like the medicine doesnt she...little kids dont like them too so well..i guess it's normal |

QUOTE(FlukSin_ @ Mar 23 2010, 08:25 PM) I adopt another new female glider today =\ It bark non stop (not crab) when she's with my other glider sleeping in my bonding pouch. Why ? =\ maybe she's not used to the bonding pouch..some more she's not used to your smell yet...the sounds they make can indicate many things we just try to relate in order to understand what they want.. |

QUOTE(FlukSin_ @ Mar 23 2010, 09:27 PM) My other 2 glider is actually quite "gentlemen". Cause my new joey brought in try to bite them or even defensive actions against them, but my 2 male glider just let her hit or bite without doing anything but just crab (may be scold her =D). May be not use to it, I use tissue to rub my skin and put inside the bonding pouch too =D. like SCC said u must properly introduce your new gliders to your old ones...lucky ur glider oni crab if lets say they break into a fight then they scratch each other and if one got hurt worse is get blind..who u gonna blame...?QUOTE(rehohk @ Mar 23 2010, 09:35 PM) TQ SCC...yes, i'm student...that y i spent my time only day time..cannot night....Now, i revision period, no class...every day, i woke him 3 times... well the feeding time for u is the time where the sg is sleeping..if i ask u to wake up 3am and 5am to eat would u want to eat?surely no..well u should know that gliders are nocturnal animals and the active time is at night...the food we normaly leave it in the bowl for them and feed at night...some separate into 2 session and feed in the early morning also...u must understand their active period is for them to hunt for food and also to roam and play'feed using my hand at 11am...then 3pm...then at 7pm...At night, dun dare disturb him, he jump in cage non stop...hihi... i just get cnfuse, because today, he pretend not know me, and stare at me...yesterday, i treat him like mentioned(feed using my hand 3 times)...he enjoy the honeydew...today, i put mango..he even dont lick my hand..that y i afraid..afraid he sick...i think he only like honeydew tq for keep reminding about pee and poo...after this, will try vincent tips...will let him poo n pee..then let him glide on me... |

eric i think u are right now is suggie escaping frenzy season..
takanori try looking at all the places where your suggie likes to hide or go during her roaming time..keep very quiet try to hear for crabbing or rustling when u are searching about..mine like to hide in between the sofa cushions coz they play on the couch every night..last time my Tobi escape i found him in the laundry basket..another time was early in the morning i found him roaming in the kitchen when he saw me he was overjoyed and ran and jump to me coz he couldnt find his way back to his cage..if it's sleeping probably it will be in a narrow dark place sg are really smart animals and they can learn to escape from the cage..best if we secure the small windows and reduce the gap between holes..but never know accident might happen like jolene's cage wire got loose.. |

@nevermine
the hind feet oni cut the 2 big toes..the 2 small toes wont hurt you if it climb on u coz the 2 small toes are meant for grooming themselves..the guide that u post up is a good guide to follow and refer @Cabok your sg do u put 2 together or u separate them?or do u let them meet each other sometimes then separate again?minimum requirement for 1-2 gliders is 3ft cage..that's why we stress to get accessories first b4 getting the gliders..u will ended up using more money coz your 1.5ft cage wont be in use when u get 3ft cage unless u keeping it for traveling at night..but most of us just take along the 3ft cage or use exoterra coz can disamble easily and travel in the day time where sg willl be sleeping in the pouch. |

Again i would like to stress on the size of the cage..minimal is 3ft cage..the 1.5feet is used for nite time traveling coz it's hard to put a 3ft cage into a car..not all cars can accomodate the height..
not all website can be trusted some are just advertising what they are selling. yes many of us are students and yet we can still place a 3ft cage and many now using 4ft and more...reminder that 3ft dont take up much floor space coz it's the height that matters...sg like to jump and move about in the cage..with the 1.5 feet cage if u put in a senior wodent wheel it will take up most of the space already and got very little space for your sg to move about. |
