nope better not let your sg roam unsupervised..accidents might happen..

they are doing that mostly coz they are letting you know that they wanna come out..do allow them some supervised roaming time at night..1-2 hours or more..they will do that oni when u are near the cage..when u are away i'm sure they will be playing about in the cage with the toys and all..be sure to change the position and cage deco once every few weeks so they get to experience new toys and surrounding and they wont get bored in the cage

if your door and windows are all close he should be in the house..keep your fingers cross..meanwhile i think u should check the cage to see how ur sg escape to prevent it from happening again

normally at night i just on a yellow/orange light..pretty dim..erm maybe u can try closing the toilet door a little so not too much light..

since she's grooming you i gues she just loves being with u..might not be the light issue

when can actually s.g chirping?

hehehe..

well yesterday i heard my glider chirp...lol...one was outside the cage,tobi and the other one,cody didnt realise the door was open for roaming time...then he climb to the side of the cage look at tobi with jealousy who is outside and chirped a few times..rare to hear it but i did here like twice already..similar to bird chirping but not the same..maybe he's calling him or just expressing himself..i'm not so cure of that..

sumtimes the cause for not eating insects is because the joeys are seperated from the parents to early..so they got no chance to learn to eat it...maybe with owners can teach them to eat the insects if u are lucky they will able to pick up that skill and maybe to hunt and kill the insect themselves rather than the owner kill it for them

lol wah T shape cage..would it be stable with such a small base?1ft would be too narrow in my opinion..8ft tall wow u gonna have tough time cleaning but i bet your gliders gonna enjoy the height so u have to rajin sikit to clean it every week

anyway when u have diy do post the picture up and it might inspire some of us especially me a big DIY fan...

hey everybody!!!

jolene how's crisclyn her pouch ok adi?

i'm having exoterra fleaxarium medium size..but i realize i dont use much of it..ended up i just take my 3ft cage to holiday lst CNY..or i balik kampung got a 4ft DIY cage at home which i made last trip home...hahaha..

omg lori who bought a dying glider...-.-"

djazmy nice picture...happy.gif

apple96 gliders have smell u can control it or should i say we glider owners got used to it.. but still u said your dad have sensitive nose so better ask if he's ok with it first...age i dont think it's a big problem i know young students having gliders and with parents involvements and help they make great owners as well...i'm hoping they dont only rely n your limited pocket money coz they are not cheap pets to mantain coz they too need supplement and proper diet which are not cheap in the pet store..more over a big cage and toys

@cabok
when glider got scared or feel threaten they will release some sort of whitish fluid which smells very bad...it's probably a defence system.oh since u say baby means still young so your glider is not musking yet..even my neutered gliders still got bit musking at their chest area even if the bald spot is gone..when they are adult sure got smell but if u got used to it u will find it's nothing coz it's your body adaptation to environment.but when u ask other ppl they will find it really smelly.neutering really helps reduce the smell a lot

@jolene
good to hear she's all well again.

@rebellion
better discuss hedgie thing through pm or hedgie thread la.later readers get confused
